What to expect

  • Fruit Picking Experience | Enjoy Yamagata’s seasonal fruit flavors according to the changing seasons. Yamagata Prefecture is a famous “Fruit Kingdom” in Japan’s Tohoku region. The orchards are charming during the transition of spring, summer, and autumn, making it a popular choice for family and group outings. Depending on the season, you will have the opportunity to pick and taste the following fruits: Early June to Early July: Cherries (representative varieties such as “Sato Nishiki,” known for high sweetness and delicate flesh) Mid-August to Early September: Peaches (such as “Shiro Momo,” soft and juicy) Mid-August to Late September: Grapes (such as “Kyoho,” plump and rich in flavor) Early October onwards: Apples (such as “Sekai Ichi,” “Kogyoku”) *The above periods are for reference only, and the actual situation will depend on the harvest conditions of the year. The fruit picking experience will be arranged by the supplier for seasonal fruits, and specific choices cannot be made. *If you have a preferred fruit, it is recommended to inquire with customer service about the currently available fruit types before placing an order. *If there is a poor fruit harvest, the orchard may temporarily suspend fruit picking activities. In such a case, we will cancel your order and process a full refund. We appreciate your understanding.
  • Ginzan Onsen | Step into a nostalgic hot spring town from an animated scene. Ginzan Onsen, famous as a filming location for classic animations, is a rare hot spring town in Japan that retains its complete Showa-era charm. Wooden ryokans, dessert shops, and cafes line both sides of the cobblestone street, exuding a retro atmosphere. Strolling along the Ginzan River, you can also relax your feet in the free footbath area and experience the healing time from natural hot spring sources. It is recommended to bring your own towel for a more convenient footbath experience.
  • Roadside Station Tendo Onsen | Taste all of Yamagata’s popular fruit desserts. “Roadside Station Tendo Onsen” is a popular rest stop in Tendo City. It sells light meals and snacks, and you can also taste local ice cream made with fresh fruits, and choose Yamagata’s specialty products and souvenirs. From cherry processed products to agricultural specialties, everything is available here, making it the best place to experience Yamagata’s local charm.

Review for: Sendai Station Transfer Day Tour without Meals

We had a lot of fun picking fruits, but we had to wait for the shuttle bus to Ginzan Hot Spring, so we had less time to stay in Ginzan Hot Spring. The tour guide Ms Angie led us very well, taught us to pick some good varieties of cherries, and introduced us to other itineraries. The car was also very comfortable and clean, and the driver was very kind. We all had a lot of fun.

Picking cherries is fun, but it would be better if you stay longer in Ginzan Hot Spring
