The journey from Istanbul to Cannakale is quite long (4 hr) each way. No breakfast/dinner is provided, but driver will stop mid-journey for breakfast/dinner break. The tour guide - Ms. Cindi is very knowledgeable. She brought us through the history of Troy with humour and highlight interesting facts. There is a small museum shop near the entrance that worth checking out.
Our tour guide Hasan was excellent and he did a great job of highlighting the amazing Troy site with stories and historical facts. The travel from Istanbul was long but we knew that ahead of time and so it was no problem. recommended for people who would like these types of tours!
although majority of the time was spent on travelling, it was worth it. learnt more abt the history of troy, the truth & the myth. it was fun & enjoyable trip. the guide, ibrahim, was friendly & loves to joke.
The drivers and tour guides were friendly, hospitality, friendly and knowledgeable. Although the journey was long, it was to be expected, it was seemless as I was collected and dropped off at my hotel. The tour was very good and I've learned alot more about Turkish history!
Excellent tour, very very happy with how the logistics where handled leading up to and during the tour. No hassle with hotel pick up or drop off, breakfast lunch and dinner was very nice, kept quick so not to reduce your time seeing Troy. The tour of the ancient city was amazing, our guide had a wonderful knowledge of the historical importance of the 9 cities of Troy, he had a wonderful sense of humour, even sorted out 3 non English speaking ladies on the tour with an audio guide to help them. He pointed out the tomb of Achilles which you would have missed so easily if you did t know it was out there. One improvement, would like to have had more time to see Troy, 2 hrs was fine but to wander a bit more around the area would have been nice. But as I said an amazing day trip from Istanbul.
It was a great experience to have the tour by booking through Klook. The guide gave good information on the tour and everything was organized so well. I will use Klook in my future booking again.
We came for our honeymoon, and the timing was perfect, the condition of the transportation was excellent, and the pick-up-transfer-pick-up-transfer system was so well-organized that we proceeded smoothly without long waits. Our guide, Ibrahim, was also kind and explained Troy in detail. If you are interested in Troy, I recommend this tour.
