- Incompatible models: iPhone only, most Android phones are not compatible. Android phones are not recommended for purchase. Phones manufactured and sold in China, Hong Kong, and Macau cannot use eSIM, and phones with carrier-locked numbers cannot use it. I originally just randomly picked the one with the highest rating, but after arriving at Naha Airport, getting off the plane, and installing the eSIM, it kept showing no service and I couldn't get online. I used the airport's free Wi-Fi to add LINE and inquire. The service staff responded very promptly, and also mentioned that this eSIM seems to easily have this kind of situation on Android systems, and explained that I could choose a refund or provide another eSIM QR code to reinstall and try again. Later, I chose to install another eSIM, and it worked smoothly. Moreover, the signal and smoothness were very good when using it at several attractions in northern and southern Okinawa. Although it was a bit bumpy at first, the subsequent service is worth five stars!!

This time, my boyfriend and I went to Japan, and we each bought internet plans from different providers. I recall that at some point while on the train, the internet suddenly became bad, with no signal at all. However, both of our internet connections went bad at the same time, so I don't think it was an issue with this particular eSIM card. Other than that, there were no major problems using it. I also recommend that you and your travel companions purchase internet plans from different providers; it's a safer bet.
