Seven Rila Lakes Circuit Day Tour from Sofia
- Explore Rila's hidden treasure beneath blue skies and snow-capped peaks waiting to be discovered
- Embark on a full-day hiking trip to the Seven Rila Lakes, a cluster of glacial lakes
- Ascend from Panichishte via chairlift to reach the heights of Rila National Park, a world above
What to expect
IMPORTANT: To ensure your safety on this challenging winter trek, waterproof gear and sturdy, high-cut boots are non-negotiable, as the trail often features knee-deep snow. The weather can change instantly, meaning the guide reserves the right to alter the route; should strong winds close the lift, the hike will be limited to the heated hut and its immediate surroundings. While the winter landscape is breathtaking, please realize that the lakes are frozen over and buried in snow, so they will not be visible as open water. We ask you to respect the unpredictability of the mountains by coming prepared and accepting that the guide’s decision on the day is final.

Reviews
The round trip was very comfortable. There was WiFi and a USB charging port for mobile phones. The tour guide Radi was great and took everyone on a walk. The scenery was beautiful and the difficulty was not high.
I recommend it. The Rila Seven Lakes trek was the best trek I had during my trip to Bulgaria. The guides were friendly too.
It was still rainy and stormy in May, so I couldn't complete the trip. Let's wait until the real summer to go!
Really amazing day ! This trekking is awesome ! The weather was perfect and the view is stunning ! I really loved it. Guide Lubo was perfect with a lot of interesting explanation. The first part to Kidney Lake is quite easy but the last part to the top is definitely not... very steep ! But the view is wow ❤️
If I hadn’t taken this day trip, I probably wouldn’t have had the chance to hike in Europe! The tour guide speaks fluent English and the pace is not too fast! It’s really tiring to climb this one ~ it takes about 5 hours to go back and forth for about 10 kilometers! It’s really a trek through mountains and rivers, but the air is good and beautiful!
rated as easy-moderated but totaly not moderated sometimes, in general not at all easy !! bus as nearly half hour to late ! no warning, we contacted the desk but no operator available, never been recontacted
Because we went to climb last week, it was already past October. Although there was sunshine, it was very cold when taking the cable car. It is recommended to wear more clothes, such as a hat and gloves. The route is very rugged, so it is more suitable for those who usually exercise. The tour guide is very kind and friendly. I like this trip very much.
Very nice tour as everything was as described in the itinerary. Friendly and knowledgeable tour guide.
