Chiayi: Hinoki Village Japanese Kimono Experience

Very fun! 👍 The owner is attentive. 👍 Kid-friendly ❤️. I recommend wearing a sleeveless or short-sleeved top underneath. Aim for a quick hairstyle; you can fix your hair in a bun first and then add a head flower. The owner helped me cover up my hair accessories in seconds so I could quickly take photos. I returned the clothing and accessories after taking perfect photos before the kids had a meltdown.

It's a very special experience. The service staff is very good. The Japanese scenery outside and the kimono match perfectly. It's a great experience that kills all the memory. It's still very hot in Chiayi at the end of October. It's recommended to take photos in autumn and winter when it's cooler because the kimono is worn directly. So try to wear something thin and low-collared underneath to look better.

Nice experience in wearing the japanese traditional costume. Din expect the weather is so hot on the day I book for the experience. I din manage to walk take a walk ard the area, just taking some picture from their in-stall.

Shop is located within Hinoki Village. We arrived a bit later than our reserved timing slot and the owner was very welcoming still. English and mandarin was okay to communicate with. There are many colours and patterns of Japanese clothes to choose from. There are mirrors, hairpins, and hair ties you can use to style your own hair. We asked th owner to help us take photos in the studio and she was very accomodating to help us. Recommend to book and arrive before 5PM, after 5PM there isn’t enough sunlight in the area to take photos at. No photographer is available to hire, bring a selfie stick. Saw a group of kids get dressed up before us and they were so cute: 3 little samurai boys. I would recommend carefully walking through to the different houses, small pond, and Japanese wall to take photos.

The service staff was great and the overall experience was good. It is recommended to arrive around noon. There are also children's clothing (twin babies, 2 years old and 4 years old). Next time, you can wear a kimono to take pictures in the railway park!

The clothes are beautiful. Luckily, the weather was great, so we took super nice kimono photos. The whole family enjoyed taking pictures, and there are so many photo spots in the village!

There are many types of kimono and color schemes. It's family-friendly. The Klook booking voucher didn't have a time on it, but it turned out the reservation was for 10:00 AM. We were late, but the store was very accommodating 🙏🏻.
