What to expect
Piha, New Zealand’s most famous surf beach, is a stunning black-sand gem on the west coast of the North Island, renowned for its incredible surf rolling in from the Tasman Sea. Experience this and more on our West Coast Discovery! The tour begins with a pickup from Auckland CBD, followed by a 30-minute scenic drive through the Waitakere Ranges. First stop: the Arataki Visitor Centre, where you’ll learn about native trees and enjoy panoramic views of the ranges. Next, a 20-minute drive takes you to Karekare Waterfalls, where a short 5-minute stroll leads to a perfect photo spot. Finally, we visit Piha Beach, where you can swim, relax, or admire the views. Don’t miss Lion Rock at the center of the beach for breathtaking scenery and photo opportunities After that, we head back to Auckland CBD
