Reviews
The tour was great! I enjoyed the stories the guide had told us. I learned quite a lot during this trip. The places we’ve been to were really nice and beautiful!
Our guide, Iwan, was extremely knowledgeable and provided great insights throughout the tour. I also appreciate the tour company’s professionalism in promptly resolving a miscommunication with Klook and ensuring that my experience matched the original tour description.
We arrived at the Hadrian’s Arch at 8:15. There was no signage and no one there. . Some people suggested that we walk to the Temple of Olympian Zeus entrance, but it seemed that none of them had any idea about this tour because it’s private tour. So we went back to Hadrian’s Arch around 8:30, and Alexandra was waiting there with another visitor. Alexandra is an archaeologist, and she can beautifully link legends with history. Her explanations were interesting, with clear timelines and drawings. I felt like I was time-traveling back to Ancient Greece. The tour took about 4.5 hours, but we were not tired. We enjoyed the scenery, the Parthenon, and the stories and history. Alexandra was able to answer many questions from my teenage daughter, who loves Greek mythology. It is really worth going with a tour guide. Without her, we may not have known what we were seeing. If you are planning to visit the Ancient Agora to see the Temple of Hephaestus, you will need to buy another ticket.
SO worth doing, can’t recommend it enough!!! We had Alex as our tour guide and his knowledge was unbelievable. He had such in depth knowledge of Athens in general as well as Greek mythology. Just be aware you’ll need to buy separate tickets for entry to the Acropolis as well as Agora, but they are relatively cheap. I wouldn’t go to these areas without a guide!
Kristina was an amazing guide ! Very insightful and engaging, we felt safe and learned so much ! The tour itself was a good length of time and we finished in a perfect location to grab lunch after. 10/10 would recommend 😌
Our guide Emilia is informative with easy understandable English! After the tour, I am more interested in knowing more mythology of Greek culture.
