Reviews
This was a well organized tour. Thanks for the driver Daniel picking up on time from the hotel in Krakow. It was also easy to follow the local guide to better understand the history of Auschwitz-Burkenau. Highly recommended!
our tour started early than expected and had a little panic as we had to think of how to get breakfast. we visited Birkenau 1st and then the Museum which I realise should be the other way round . No guide to explain when in Birkenua so was a little disappointed but the visit to museums went went with guide and audio. The place is well organised and it’s a great experience. Our driver was on time and didn’t expect to have 2 bags of lunch which consist of sandwiches, fruits, chocs , juice and water for us .
visiting Auschwitz is a must when you’re in Krakow, really learnt a lot from this insightful tour. thank you Piotr for driving us back and forth and for being so helpful!
Tour was run by ComFort Tours - texted a day prior to confirm tour and was very detailed. Olek, my driver also followed up with text, introducing himself, and has a profile picture so I'd know what he looks like. Just a note that the tour may not start at 8am, as per stated. I think the tour will start when a slot at the museum is secured, so my pick up was at 6.20am. On the tour day, pick up was very punctual and Olek introduced himself and explained the process of the tour when I asked about it. He also gave an explanation to everyone in our vehicle when we arrived at Auschwitz. There was sufficient time before the tour started for a short break. The tour was led by a museum guide, who brought us through the museum. There were several groups but it didn't feel crowded as the guides made sure that their groups were not in the same area at the same time so that we were able to see everything. After that, Olek drove us to the Memorial. Our museum guide met us there and took us around, with explanations. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. At the end of the tour, Olek there to pick us up at the previously mentioned spot. We were dropped off in the reverse order of pick up. The vehicle was clean and spacious. Comfortable to sit in and Olek is a good driver with good English.
it was a sad trip to the camp but everything went really smooth. the driver Daniel did a great job on the service. definitely recommend!
Thank you Peter for driving us all day, he was very nice and a gentleman! He even opened the door for us! Driving is also very stable! The service is very attentive, and they will not keep selling or asking for tips during the tour. The tour guide's explanation was also very detailed, allowing us to understand the history here better.
We booked this trip expecting a guide but sadly when we got picked up from our hotel our driver let us know we wouldn’t be getting a guide. We then spent an hour in the van driving around Krakow picking everyone up. When we got there, there were two other vans of people all in the same predicament. As you can imagine we were all not very pleased to be informed the morning of the tour when the organiser had messaged us all the day/night before to confirm pick up time but didn’t let us know about the guide. A few of us from the tour had messaged the organiser to question this and have still not heard back from him. Luckily we did get a partial refund from Klook but it would have been nice to hear back from the company. All in all the transfer to and from Krakow went fine, I do think it would be easier for everyone to meet in one place and save driving around for an hour getting everyone. We did make the most of the day nonetheless but I would reccomend checking with the organiser to make sure you will be getting a guide (if he’ll respond)
It is very convenient to pick up and drop off at the hotel. The driver and tour guide are very friendly. Just get in the car and you can have a complete experience.
We participated in a guided tour of the concentration camp that was claimed to be seven hours long, but the actual tour did not match the content of the tour. The total duration of the event was far from seven hours. We arrived at 9am, but were kicked out at 1:15pm, and at 1:30 the driver even threatened us that if we didn't leave, we would have to take the bus back. But according to the seven-hour itinerary, we did not overtime at all, and actually only did four and a half hours of activities. In addition, the activity introduction said that an English tour guide would be provided, but at the first concentration camp, the driver told us that there was no tour guide and asked us to go to the second concentration camp first. In the second concentration camp, we could only visit by ourselves, only one and a half hours, without any tour guide. When we arrived at the second concentration camp, we entered at 11 o'clock, but the tour guide was actually explained in Polish, and no one could understand it at all. In the end we chose to abandon the guided tour and visit on our own. This was completely inconsistent with the English guided tour promised in the event, which was very disappointing. The experience at this event was terrible, we paid three times more than the ticket price and ended up getting tickets and transfers. It is strongly not recommended to participate in this event. It will be more cost-effective to purchase tickets yourself. We participated in a 7-hour concentration camp tour, but many aspects did not match what was advertised. The total duration wasn't even close to seven hours. We arrived at 9:00 AM, but by 1:15 PM, we were already being rushed out. At 1:30 PM, the driver even threatened that if we didn't leave, we would have to take a public bus back. If the tour was indeed supposed to last seven hours, we didn't overstay, as we only had four and a half hours in total. Moreover, the tour description promised an English guide. However, when we arrived at the first camp, the driver informed us that there was no guide available and directed us to the second camp. We had to walk around on our own for an hour and a half without any guide. When we entered the second camp at 11:00 AM, we were given a Polish tour, which no one could understand. We opted out of the tour and explored the camp on our own. This was completely different from the promised English tour, leaving us very disappointed. Overall, the experience was very disappointing. We paid three times the ticket price but only received entry tickets and transportation. I strongly advise against joining this tour. You're better off buying your own tickets and visiting on your own.
The place itself definitely worth a visit but the tour is overpriced. I guess it is too hard to get a ticket and they substantially marked up the price. The lunch was not included in the price which their description is factually incorrect. The tour guide was not nice and skipped a lot of places in the museum. The tour itself was less than 3 hrs.
