Kagoshima Sakurajima Half-Day Volcano Tour

Basically, taxi drivers are very friendly. The language barrier is a bit of a problem. If you use a translation app, there won't be much of a problem. Kagoshima itself doesn't have many tourist attractions, so the average itinerary is limited to shrines, gardens, and observatories. It's okay to use the time between the airport and the hotel, and the cost-effectiveness is not bad.

This was a great tour. Yuki was wonderful and gave so much info. This tour covered so much in 1/2 a day and it was a great pace.

Our guide Yoshi was cheerful and helpful throughout the tour, even though there aas heavy rain during the entire trip, obscuting Mount Sakurajima entirely. Wet weather forecast ought to have triggered a cancellation or at least a rescheduling (eg start later in the day) or the tour.

Good experience. Enjoyed the hot foot bath park, pretty cherry blossoms & views of the island & volcano.
