Guide
- The Shili Gallery (Ten-Mile Gallery) is located in Yangshuo, with its peaks upon peaks stretching into the distance. Standing at the foot of the mountains and looking up, one cannot help but marvel at the magical charm of nature.
- The river in the Shili Gallery is also a beautiful sight. Along the way, there are crystal-clear mountain springs that make pleasant sounds. Strolling in such an environment makes people feel comfortable and peaceful.
The Shili Gallery is a scenic strip of the 321 National Highway on the south side of Yangshuo City, with continuous mountains and picturesque scenery on both sides of the road. Many people choose to visit by bicycle, pedaling lightly, enjoying the fresh air, and looking at the scenery along the road, which feels very pleasant. You can rent bicycles everywhere in Yangshuo County. It is recommended to choose a shop with newer bikes, and test ride them first to check whether the bike is in good condition and whether the brakes work well. After leaving the city, ride along Kangzhan Road. The first attraction you will pass is the Totem Ancient Trail, which shows the rough and uninhibited nature of primitive tribes. Continuing forward, the second attraction you will pass is Tianlai Butterfly Spring. The gate of Butterfly Spring is very distinctive, with a large butterfly. You can take pictures as a souvenir. Inside is a karst cave, as well as wonderful folk performances. Then there is Gongnong Bridge, where you can see the Yulong River bamboo rafts and take pictures of the bamboo raft groups. The fourth attraction along the way is the Big Banyan Tree, which is a more worthwhile attraction to see in this section. Many scenes of “Liu Sanjie” were filmed in this scenic spot. Riding further, you can see Moon Hill. Moon Hill is located at the end of the Shili Gallery scenic area. There is a natural stone arch on the mountain, which is connected on both sides, and looks like a bright moon hanging high in the sky from a distance. After riding all the way, you can return by the same route, or you can return halfway. If you have plenty of time, you can combine cycling through the Shili Gallery with rafting on the Yulong River. Raft first, raft to Gongnong Bridge, and then ride back, so you don’t have to pass the same attractions back and forth, which is more reasonable and fun.
