Reviews
Michal our guide is the best. he was understanding and kind, explained everything to us on the bus. communications is excellent they will email all participants exactly what to expect via email. READ that email carefully it explains everything. also the tour provider is "Holiday Tour" so look for that logo on the bus when getting picked up because there are many other tour companies doing same route. another tip is wear layers, it get very windy and cold up in the glacier but then warmer when we got to waterfalls. finally be sure to bring sunglasses 👓 because the wind is very strong and it picks up rocks foe your eyes. plus, when making stops at the convenience store please go dieectly to the bathroom first, before buying snacks or food because the line can be very long. and finally at the Geysir just bring a lunch. if you don't bring a lunch you'll have to eat at the restaurant which is fine but you will waste a lot of time waiting for the food and miss out on exploring the Geysir.
was worried about the glacier hike but it turned out to be the best experience ever. our guide-and-driver (sorry i forgot his name, might be andrew?) was fun, engaging and knowledgeable. he ensured everyone in the tour was safe and planned the itinerary such that we could still do the glacier hiek despite a snow storm coming.
We had a fantastic time on the tour! Our guide, Roberto, from Holiday Tours was excellent- warm & friendly throughout the entire tour. He prioritised safety & made sure everyone in the tour group was well taken care of during the glacier hike. He is very knowledgeable on Icelandic info, & he bought his favourite Icelandic chocolate liquorice to share with us. He extended the tour a little to give us more time to enjoy the glacier hike (which was nice) & didn’t ask for good reviews at the end of the tour (like most other guides do) which shows he really cares about giving people the best experience.
If you are looking for a unique experience for a very limited time, then book this tour. Also, Roberto the guide is a great guy. The company is lucky to have him!
This tour was with a small company called Holiday Tour, and our guide, Michael, was Czech. He came to Iceland ten years ago and is an amazing person. Remember to bring snow boots for the glacier hike. The guide will ask if anyone doesn't have sunglasses and will lend you some – he's super helpful! Overall, highly recommended.
Our guide, Michal, was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. It was a true pleasure to experience this tour with him. He ensured we felt completely safe while hiking the glacier without compromising on the fun!"
Let's start with the positives: the tour guide was professional, especially during the hike, demonstrating excellent safety measures. The negatives are that the itinerary felt a bit rushed, and there were four more people than stated in the Klook description, likely due to someone being added last minute. Overall, it was a happy and comfortable trip.
the tour guide seem doesn’t wanna take us to walk the ice . we just walk around the same area within 200m . but waterfalls is amazing tho .
Michal is a super professional and friendly guide. Under his guidance, the glacier hike went safely and everybody enjoyed it very much. A once in a lifetime experience indeed!
Off the charts amazing! The tour leader gets a perfect 100. Seriously the best tour leader ever - handsome, professional, and friendly. If you see a tour led by this person, don't hesitate, just sign up! It was a fantastic day!
