Amazing horse riding experience at Cappadocia! I was a bit worried the day before because it was my first time riding a horse, but it was actually easy to pickup! My horse was very stable and well trained. The views of the chimneys was honestly incredible. BEYZA coordinated my tour and suggested sunset tour (instead of my original 2pm bookjng). Great suggestion as the sunset experience was awesome. Please try this out if you are in Cappadocia, you won't regret it!
I'd highly recommend horse riding. I took all the tours (hot air balloon, green tour, ATV and Horse riding), I'd give horse riding the highest recommendation!! It was a thrilling experience exploring the places on a horse. There were some scary cliffs and slopes but the horses manoeuvred well through the terrain. There will be a guide in front guiding the pack and another one sweeping the back, reminding us of things to do (E.g. Pull right, etc.) There is a framed photograph of yourself for purchase at the end of the activity for 200 lira.
We booked 2 hours 2pm ride. On the morning, the tour operator messaged if we would like to do earlier at 11am as the weather is not good in the afternoon. Really appreciate this, as I tried to change on Klook looking at the weather forecast a week ahead but could not reschedule and the only option was to cancel for free and book again at much higher price. We booked a few months in advanced. Thus, just left it and was so grateful they enabled us to do earlier. This ride from Goreme horse farm took us into Sword Valley hiking trail and we not only saw Sword Valley but also the beautiful mountain rocks of Rose Valley which was sooooo beautiful. The horses rode through narrow pathways uphill and downhill, on a single file following the guide. We enjoyed the experience a lot. There were some really lovely friendly dogs on the farm too and we petted them to their wagging tails. Although it is much more expensive than the horse ride from Avanos ranch, it is worth it to see Sword & Rose Valleys, so we didn't need to do those hiking trails and can do others. Highly recommended.
It is dream like to be horse riding in such vast and majestic landscape! The hotel pick up was on time, the horses look healthy, and the guides paid full attention throughout the whole journey. Received the operator’s message asking if it’s ok to reschedule from 5pm to 3pm to catch the sunset which was a pleasant and welcomed suggestion. The 2hrs ride was just about right with a bit of ups and downs. Maybe a good idea to speak with the ranch in advance if you’ve never been on a horse though. The guide Bayza was great. A wonderful experience after all, highly recommend!
We’re picked up promptly from our hotel and a short ride away from the site. The horse handlers were professional and took good care of us. Horses were well good and easy to control. Took one scenic stop and rested for 40 minutes. Route along the way was amazing and would highly recommended this tour.
first time riding horse, and it was definitely unforgettable! you will first be briefly taught how to manage a horse, then everyone gets into a line, a few staff are riding along and helping if needed. most horses in our group seems quite manageable. riding horses in the valleys is the best way to see the beautiful view and valley and you will get about half an hour on top of the rose valley at sunset time before heading back. must do item in cappodocia!
We had an amazing time!! Even though we were taught how to control our horses, the guides were attentive to attend to us whenever we needed. They were professional and very helpful. The route we went through is very scenic and I managed to take alot of beautiful photos along the way. Once we reached the base, we were given ample of time to take photos of the beautiful scenery. Would definitely recommend this activity!
Absolutely loved this experience, by far the best way to explore the terrain of Cappadocia - highly recommend.
I think this is a very worthwhile experience. First of all, the ranch prioritizes safety and hygiene, providing disposable hairnets and helmets. The horses are very obedient and easy to control; they automatically follow the horse in front, though they occasionally try to snack on the roadside weeds. The sunset ride is especially recommended, as you can ride a horse and watch the sunset at Honggu. There's a rest stop on the mountaintop halfway through, so you might want to bring some cash to buy drinks. Each horse has its own name, and the instructors will enthusiastically introduce them. My horse was named Aji and was very well-trained. This is an unforgettable memory!
There is more to Cappadocia than just hot air balloons. The horseback riding tour was a fantastic experience with magnificent scenery, friendly guides, and kind and cute horses. All of this experience was possible thanks to Tourmania's BEYZA manager who quickly, accurately, and kindly helped us pick up and guide the hotel despite our sudden same-day tour reservation, and the guides who made our first horseback riding experience easy and fun. The 2-hour Cappadocia horseback riding tour felt like compensation for the disappointment of the hot air balloon ride that was canceled due to the weather. Next time I visit Cappadocia, I will try the hot air balloon ride again, but if I get the chance, I will look for the horseback riding tour again.
