Mount Fuji Day Trip: Lawson & Ten梯 Town & Asama Shrine & Lake Yamanaka & Oshino Hakkai (Departing from Tokyo)
Mount Fuji in One Day | Six Ways to Experience It
Visit Lake Yamanaka to admire the stunning reflection of Mount Fuji on the lake’s surface. Explore Oshino Hakkai to experience the clear spring water formed by Mount Fuji’s snowmelt and the Japanese ambiance. Head to Oishi Park, where seasonal flower fields, Mount Fuji, and lake views make for easy beautiful photos. Check in at the Kawaguchiko Lawson convenience store to easily capture classic Mount Fuji compositions. Visit the Hikawa Clock Shop to experience a retro literary atmosphere and take unique photos. Ascend Arakurayama Sengen Park to admire the classic view of the Five-Story Pagoda, Mount Fuji, and the cityscape intertwined.
What to expect
The first ray of morning sun shines down, and the orange-pink morning light shatters the reflection of Mount Fuji on the lake, as if stepping into a Shinkai Makoto movie scene.
Oshino Hakkai This is probably the closest I’ve been to Mount Fuji. The spring water of Oshino Hakkai is truly healing. The crystal-clear ponds paired with thatched-roof houses make every casual shot a “life photo.”
Oishi Park The sea of flowers at Oishi Park is just too stunning! On one side are blooming seasonal flowers, and on the other is the magnificent Mount Fuji. What a divine combination!
Kawaguchiko Lawson At the Lawson convenience store in Kawaguchiko, I finally captured that Instagram-famous spot. The magical blend of a convenience store and Mount Fuji surprisingly has no sense of incongruity; it’s incredibly photogenic!
Hikawa Clock Shop The Hikawa Clock Shop is truly a hidden gem. Looking at Mount Fuji through the display window, time seems to stand still. Any casual shot turns into a Japanese-style blockbuster.
Mount Arakura Sengen Park Finally, I ascended Mount Arakura Sengen Park. The five-story pagoda, Mount Fuji, and the town below—isn’t this the postcard itself? Every frame is unbelievably beautiful.
Mount Fuji truly showed off today; every frame was unbelievably beautiful. Perhaps this is the meaning of travel.

Reviews
The trip was great, lots of picturesque spots in the day, a perfect day trip for those who want too see mt. Fuji & get lots of photos of it in various locations. We were very lucky with the weather sunny day no clouds to block our view of mt Fuji. The tour guide Mandy was informative & great with managing the group & providing more time in the hot spots. Our favourite stops were the Oshino Hakkai, Daishi Park & Chureito Pagoda. The bus driver & Mandy also made sure we weren’t disadvantaged by the traffic delays we had getting to & from. A great way to see Mt Fuji for time poor travellers.
Really recommend for solo travelers!! I was sceptical at first but our tour guide Andrew was so energetic and amazing it really turned the trip around. we visited all the famous spots and took tons of pictures. I even managed to make new friends
One day before the tour, the guide sent us information through whatsapp. It was clear where to meet. We went in a small minivan. The group was not too big, because normally I’m not a fan of tour, but this size of the group was good. Each place where we went, the guide sent us a picture and small explanation of the place. I like this better than what you normally experience during tours with a lot of talking. The weather was great and we very blessed to see Mt. Fuji, later in the afternoon it became shy, as you can see in the pictures. One point for improvement is to stay longer at Chureita Pagode; one hour was to short to enjoy the place.
The weather was fantastic that day, and we were lucky enough to see beautiful Mount Fuji all day long! Our guide that day was Mr. Ohashi, a professional guide who speaks excellent Chinese and Korean and is humorous and witty! Mr. Ohashi slightly adjusted the length of stay at each attraction based on the situation. It was a tight schedule, but we didn't feel rushed. The introduction to each spot was also thorough, allowing us to learn more about the local culture.
This was my first time on a group tour, and the experience was excellent! Our tour guide, Coco, was very thorough in explaining the attractions and patiently waited for everyone to gather and board the bus. We were lucky to have great weather today, and we even got to see the adorable Mount Fuji make an appearance at the end. I'm very happy with this trip.
Daqiao's Chinese and Korean are excellent, and her bilingual introduction of all the itineraries is so smooth. She is a very nice tour guide. She reminds everyone of what to pay attention to during the itinerary and also helps everyone take photos at the scenic spots. She answers all questions. The weather was great that day, and Mount Fuji was beautiful from different angles. It was a very pleasant day.
Our trip to Fuji was fantastic! We were lucky enough to see Mount Fuji on a sunny, clear day, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. The itinerary was well planned, with enough time at each stop to enjoy the scenery, take photos, and explore without feeling rushed. Our guide, Blaire, was experienced, knowledgeable, helpful, and also very funny, which made the trip even more enjoyable. She shared interesting facts and recommendations throughout the journey and kept the atmosphere fun and engaging. Overall, it was a smooth and memorable day trip, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Japan!
The itinerary is very rich. Although the stay time is short and the departure is a bit rushed, the tour guide Yuan Yang is very good! The entire process to the attractions are explained in great detail!
I had an absolutely wonderful day touring Mt. Fuji, with breathtaking views at every stop! Our guide, Sawaki Nakagima, made the experience even more special. He was fantastic, always sharing interesting information about the places we visited and ensuring everyone had a great time. His knowledge and passion for the area really enhanced the trip!
