Green Island Ferry Tickets (Taitung Departures)

The overall experience on this ferry trip between Taitung and Green Island was very good. The boat was new and clean, but the seats weren't comfortable and didn't recline. I'd recommend taking an older boat for more comfort; I don't recommend the 'Tianwangxing' (Uranus). The journey was relatively smooth, and even with some minor waves, it wasn't uncomfortable. The boarding and disembarking processes were seamless, with clear guidance from the staff, making it very efficient and saving a lot of waiting time. The cabin was spacious, and the air conditioning was just right, with no stuffiness or unpleasant odors, which made for a relaxing experience. The service staff were friendly and proactively helped with any issues, significantly enhancing the overall service quality. The schedule was well-arranged, and departures were on time, ensuring good control over the itinerary. The only minor drawback was that it was a bit crowded during peak times, but this didn't detract from the overall experience. All in all, it was a pleasant and reassuring travel experience, and I would consider choosing this service again for future trips to Green Island.

Booking is simple. Just go to Fugang Fishing Port 30-60 minutes in advance with your ID to pick up your tickets. Double-check that the departure and return times are correct. If you're traveling with a group, make sure everyone is on the same boat. For scooter rental, ask a local for directions (there are no house numbers; a staff member will give you a phone number to add on Line, and you'll send a photo of the scooter to pick it up). Park the scooter in the empty lot next to the fishing port; taking a photo makes it easy to find later. You'll need to refuel the scooter yourself; $50 worth of gas is usually enough for 24 hours. Remember to check the oil light; if it's red, ask for a different scooter. When returning the scooter, take a photo and send it via Line. It's quite convenient.

There's an option for shuttle service from Taitung Station to Fugang Fishing Port, which offers a better price. Redemption is quick; just bring your ID. The departure and return times listed are for reference only. You can select them, but a seat on the ferry isn't guaranteed. For my outbound trip, I chose 9:30 AM, but they asked me to change it to 9:00 AM. After I immediately confirmed that was fine, they then told me 9:00 AM wasn't available and asked me to change to 11:30 AM. Since the only return trip left was 12:30 PM the next day, and my time on the island would already be very short, I asked if I could change my outbound trip to 7:30 AM. They then adjusted it to that early morning slot for me. Customer service response times were a bit slow, and the flight confirmation email also contained errors, with incorrect shuttle times. After emailing to inquire, I had to call customer service to get the correct times.

Amazing ride, amazing trip, wouldn't have been possible without this ferry service. Will consider heading there again.

Easy to redeem the physical ticket as there's a dedicated counter for Klook bookings. Also, it's cheaper here to book here than buying the ticket on the terminal itself. Highly recommended!

Verry convenient! I suggest to book the ticket through Klook then go to the counter and get your ferry tickets. If you take the"shuttle" option, it's not compulsory for you to take the shuttle (if you got other ways to transport to the Harbor). For example, I drove a car there, instead of taking the shuttle from the Taitung HSR. And if you booked the wrong time or you just wanna change it, then just go to the ticket counter, and they'll change it for you, free of charge! Exchanging for physical tickets at the counter was quick and efficient. Since I purchased through Klook, my seats were already reserved. The ferry departed on time, and I was lucky not to experience any seasickness on the way to Green Island.

the 1 hour boat ride was exciting as big waves caused many people to throw up before reaching the island. we booked an e-scooter for the 2 of us and enjoyed the self-ride around the island. alot of divers and a good place to spend a day or 2 to experience island life.

cheaper than buy on site. just get the physical tickets at the ticket counter 1 hour before the ferry timing. highly recomnended!
