When using the ticket, there is no QR code, but there is a section that you swipe like a slice. If you swipe that, it will be processed as used, so you must not swipe it. After clicking the voucher link, do not touch it and show it to the staff inside the castle. I accidentally processed it as used, and when I explained it in Japanese, they let me in.

very nice castle. one of the 12 original castle in Japan. parking available at entrance and a small hike up to castle keep. interesting display in castle and the top level has good view of the city.

Matsue Castle is indeed a national treasure and well worth a visit. The samurai residences are quite ordinary and can be seen in about 10 minutes. The Koizumi Yakumo Memorial Museum isn't particularly worth visiting, but the adjacent Koizumi Yakumo Residence is more worthwhile, although it requires a separate fee and isn't included in the package ticket. I suggest changing the package ticket to include the Koizumi Yakumo Residence.

The app is very convenient to use. Just open the QR code and scan it with the staff on site to enter! There is almost no need to queue up! Because there are two of us, there will be no confusion even if there are two QR codes. After use, it will show that it has been used! It can clearly let you see at a glance, and you don’t have to worry about scanning the same code for the staff repeatedly, causing embarrassment!

All you had to do was show the voucher at the entrance to the castle to gain access. It was quite easy. I had indicated a date for the visit but it is not necessary to go there that day.
