Taipei: Taiwan Cooking Class | Cooking Class

> I thought the class was only about cooking. But while we were waiting for the chicken to marinate, Kevin took me outside and told me stories about Dihua Old Street and the market. He taught me gently, step by step. The recipe was easy and simple, so I think I could make it again when I get back home. I’d definitely recommend this class if you’re interested in cooking and want to learn more about local food and cultural history.

very lovely! we did the bubble tea, popcorn chicken and sticky rice class. teachers were very knowledgeable and clearly had a love for Taiwanese food. would recommend people come hungry because we had eaten a full lunch and couldn’t finish all the delicious food we made!!! market tour was great, have been to this neighborhood many times and never knew some of the things our just showed us!

I was the only customer on the day of registration, and the teacher was still very attentive in explaining. Even the pearls in the pearl milk tea were made by hand. I also learned about fried salted crispy chicken and cherry blossom shrimp rice. I was able to take classes in an old house on Dihua Street. Learning Taiwanese traditional cuisine is a very special experience for me even as a Taiwanese~

I applied because I wanted to know more about Taiwan. First, I was shown around the town of Dihua Street, where I was shown recommended souvenir shops, markets, and fabric wholesalers, and it was interesting to hear about the exteriors of shops that I had never noticed before. I made tapioca milk tea made from tapioca, Taiwanese-style fried chicken, and steamed rice with lots of dried shrimp. The teacher was also very kind and taught me spices so that I can make them when I return to Japan. I will be coming to Taiwan in six months, so I would like to participate again. Thank you for a fun time.

Since I happened to be the only one, I was able to enjoy the experience while having a relaxed conversation with the instructor. (I was grateful that they accepted me even though I was alone, as many places require a minimum of two people to run the experience.) The town explanation before the cooking experience was also enjoyable. Of course, the cooking was fun, and very delicious. Thank you very much for your kindness (^^) I'll be back!

The host was very friendly and intereting. she showed us around the streets of Dihua Street and educated us the rich history that dwells within it. Food was delicous and our stomach were full at the end of the class. Amazing experience overall.

My reserved tour was canceled due to insufficient participants, so I made a reservation on a fairly tight schedule. I was very happy to be greeted so warmly. The food was delicious, and I would like to try making it when I return to Japan. Thank you very much.

I enjoyed the experience, the hosts are kind by helping along and showing us the ways to make different dishes. The food was delicious and great!

It was a very good experience. The teacher was very patient and the cooking was very delicious. He also introduced places worth visiting in Taiwan other than Dihua Street. Everyone should try it if they have the chance.

I had a pleasure to take part in the cooking classes organized by Taiwan Tourist Kitchen and it was all fun! If you want to experience real Taiwanese cuisine in a nice and funny atmosphere, this course is for you! Highly recommended!
