Reviews
The staff are very accommodating and understanding. We got late from our appointment because we got lost multiple times in the subway station but they still considered us. They helped us got dressed in multiple layers of clothings and they even did my hair. We were late in returning the kimonos as well but they still waited on us. We availed the couple kimono rental in a very affordable price. All in all it was an amazing experience!
Ideal shop for express Kimono wear, with decent hairdo. Done outfits and hairdo within 40 minutes. unlike my last 2 Kimono experiences which gave more authentic feel. Not many kimono choices, luckily we managed to get our ideal prints. Love love love. 🥰 Highly recommended for value and hairdo. 🌸🌸🌸
This was my 3rd time wearing a kimono, and this was by far the best shop i've tried. It had fewer choices than other shops I've been to, but the price is great and there are separate curtained compartments for changing. In the other 2 shops I have tried, you need to take off your clothes in one big room with everyone else. It's not a very comfortable thing for most people i think. The hairdressing was also very elaborate and artistic. The employees were very dedicated in doing what they can to perfect the look.
(1)Location: Very satisfied. It's conveniently located on the first floor right in front of Kyoto Station. (2) Service: The owner uncle is friendly. Also, the people who dressed me had the calmness typical of Kyoto people, so I, whose MBTI is I, felt comfortable. However, the skills of the people who dress you are second to none. My kimono and hair were perfect, but my friend's kimono and hair were worth less than a star(?) Anyway, if it's weird, be sure to ask for it to be done again! For example, if the collar is crooked or the hair is crooked, be sure to have it done again. (3) Price: Value for money. Late return time of 6pm for 30,000 won including hair. It was better than renting in front of tourist attractions such as in front of Cheongsusa Temple. However, please note that hair is not included. I paid 1,100 yen separately on site. (4) Facilities: perfect. Overall, the remodeling was good. The place with poor facilities is like a changing area on a movie set, but this place is very clean and well-organized. However, because it was a small shop, there were only two or three changing rooms and the number of clothes was not diverse. However, for me, who is disabled and has nothing to do with anything, it was great. Anyway, the style is similar in all stores. (5) Others: You can leave your luggage for 500 yen. The shoes are around 235 according to Free Korean standards and the laces are stretched, making walking uncomfortable. If you are sensitive about shoes, bring flip-flops! (6) Overall review: If I come to Kyoto again, I will come again!!! (7)PS. I think the calm kimono style is pretty. When you go to tourist attractions, locals have relatively calm patterns, while foreigners have flashy patterns. Because I wear flashy things, it feels tacky later on. So, if the kimono is calm, it is better to have a flashy obi or if the kimono is flashy, it is better to have a calm obi.
Shop is very affordable compared to other rental shops and it's location is also very easy to find. Comes with basic hair fix, bags, and haori for men when you follow their IG.
Amazing staff and so accommodating. They really looked after us in our first kimono experience, especially my kids. They had a great time being dressed up! Thank you
It was a joyful experience to wear kimono and understand a bit more of the Japanese deep culture. Thank you!
The staff is nice and friendly. They help us a lot in choosing Kimino clothes and wear them. Also, they did hairstyle for us. FYI, if you use subway to come to the store, I recommend to add 15 or 20 mins in your plan. The Kyoto station is kind of big and it took us more than 15 mins to figure out how to direct from Kyoto Station to Minosa store.
When you arrive at the store at the scheduled time, the service staff will arrive early to order. Once you have selected the clothes, the service staff will come to help you get dressed soon. If you choose a special hairstyle, it costs 550 yen, which is very cheap.
Very good, convenient location, right next to Kyoto Station, next to the Ibis Hotel, and there are many kimono styles to choose from. I will come again next time I come to Kyoto!
