Love the comfy environment. Love the host, Hiro. He is very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again if get the chance to come back to Hakone.

Everything was wonderful. Our host.Shun went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. Definitely would stay here again.

Nice japanese experience

Very nice and traditional style guesthouse. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. It’s a great location for walking and trekking

A lovely stay. And a cute little dinner and the best cedar onsen bath!!!

Great guesthouse with helpful staff. Small Onsen was great but water very hot. Cold water and hot water and tea and coffee provided. Close to a bus stop. Lovely spot to stay. Can walk to Hakone Open Air Museum-16 minutes on a track.I had the double room - used the 2 futons so it was very comfortable on the tatami mat.

Good value stay hosts were wonderful and helpful.

We had a private room with a great view and a comfortable mattress. However, we expected the shared bathroom to be cleaner. Also, the stairs to the private room were not standard, and I had trouble carrying the luggage.

The hostel is in a beautiful part of Japan. The operator of the hostel is wonderful and a fun host with an awesome dog. However, no one is putting effort into keeping the hotel place clean. The bathroom has the stench of urine because of wood floors and walls and the shower has mold. If I had half an hour, bleach, a brush and trash bags the place would be in much cleaner. Deferred maintenance is an issue, but the bigger issue is cleanliness. I wish I didn’t have to write this review, but the condition of the hotel affected my vacation experience.

Cute, quiet after dark, hostel style, has a private onsen, and a bar
