Mark and the breakfast staff provided excellent service. They were extremely helpful and accommodated our request to park the following day. Thank you for your outstanding hospitality.

The place was clean enough and the staff were friendly but it was let down by really awful decor (I don’t think it’s had a makeover in about 40 years). The shower in our room was broken. And the window almost fell out when my wife opened it. The breakfast was said to be continental’ but consisted of fruit juice from concentrate, instant coffee, cereal, toast and a boiled egg if you wanted one. There was some fruit and yoghurt but this is not what I consider to be continental. For £270 for two nights I think it was poor value.

The hotel was really great. Mark was an amazing host and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The room was spacious and comfortable. The only minor downside was that the toilet flush and shower pressure were a bit weak. The continental breakfast was delicious, and we really enjoyed it each morning. Quite easy to go to the city center as there is a bus stop nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

Room was very spacious. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast said until 9.15 (Saturdays)but staff were clearing the breakfast things away by 8.50 thought this was far to early. Nice selection of fruits and yogurts, cereals, but note no full breakfast only boiled eggs. Excellent value other wise.
