Nostalgia Hotel (Beijing Yonghe Lama Temple) is overall fantastic place to stay at if you prefer some distance away from the city and get to explore more of the day-to-day environment of locals. It is 15 minutes away from the Beixinqiao Station (Line 5) and it can take roughly 30-40 minutes via walking/ subway to the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and the Temple of Heaven. Rooms are cleaned every day and restocked with free water and snacks. There is also free 24/7 public laundry and the hotel staff are always prompt with this service! Overall, my experience has been very relaxing and even with some language barrier, the staff are kind and patient with English speakers.

The staff is amazing and the service is wonderful! The food was great and everything was tidy and clean. Will come again for sure!

Stayed here for one week and had a fantastic stay. Firstly the hotel is in a fantastic location close to the subway station, Lana temple and shops and restaurants. The room was well proportioned, had everything I needed with snacks and water provided. The bed and pillows might be one of the best quality and most comfortable I have slept on - I slept really well during my stay. The breakfast was okay, but the breakfast room was very small and a little claustrophobic! By far the best thing about this hotel was the housekeeping staff and quality - everyday I came back to an immaculate room which was serviced and restocked. The hotel is a little noisy first thing in the morning but that’s easily solved with earplugs.

A little bit quirky which adds to the charm. Hallways look a little run down but the room was spotless and new. They offer snacks for free at different times of the day and the breakfast was both Chinese and western and changed every day. I had a bit of a problem finding the place, the taxi driver finally was able to find it, it is tucked away down a lane way. Handy to the metro, out of the hotel area turn right to the end of the lane. The temple metro is to the left and the Beixingiao metro to the right. Lots of shops and eating places nearby.

Staff should be more helpful with taxi booking especially when you are in a hurry for an appointment, ie, tour.

Clean room, staffs are helpful and courteous. Breakfast has variety and the room supplies were excellent especially the drinks.

It’s a nice stay, but might be a bit difficult to find. I recommend to download the local map app called GAODE; better than using Apple maps

I chose a package with breakfast optional. They'll tell what's well placed surrounded by restaurants coffee shops and close to Lama Temple
