Breath taking view from the room. Staff were so attentive and very nice. Public hot tubs were great and relaxing. Room was clean and spacious. Finally the view from hotel was better than many attraction spots around fuji

Great stay. I enjoyed the traditional Ryokan style room. The hotel has 2 onsen baths which stayed open late into the night.

The staff here are exceptional. They go above and beyond to make sure you have everything that you need and are so friendly and charismatic. We had a lovely stay at Shoji Lake Hotel. The facilities are ‘older’, very traditional Japanese hotel which made our stay a very homey experience. The onsen was wonderful, the indoor onsen was definitely a lot older, but the outdoor onsen was newly renovated and so nice. We will recommend Shojj to everyone going to Japan!

It was so peaceful and beautiful, with an incredible view and a relaxing atmosphere. The owner and all the staff were very polite and obliging. We hope to return!

I stayed at Shoji Lake Hotel from December 25–26 and it was unforgettable. The owner welcomed us like family, taking time to chat, recommend local walks, and make sure everything was perfect. Our room had an exceptional view of Lake Shoji and Mount Fuji
watching the sunrise over the mountain was a highlight. The room was clean and cozy, the onsen was wonderfully relaxing, and the atmosphere felt intimate and personal rather than hotel-like. I’ll definitely return

Staff were exceptionally helpful. Took our luggage up the stairs and were waiting for us when we arrived. Welcomed warmly by the manager and once checked in felt like home away from home!
We didn’t do kayaking but available if you intend to do so. Private baths or outside baths available which we took advantage of.
Possibly for some guests may find the property a bit older but was adequate for what we wanted. View you get makes up for it.
I’d certainly return to this place if I’m ever in Fuji-san area again.
