Great host's. Great breakfast. Clean well stocked comfy room. What more do you want 10/10

What wonderful hosts and fantastic B&B! Rich and team were super friendly, helpful and attentive hosts: nothing was too much trouble. The house is tastefully decorated and immaculate throughout - you can see the care and attention that the owners have put into it! The location is great and parking is available. The breakfast is fantastic, with a help yourself buffet of fresh fruit, yoghurt and cereals but also the choice of a range of lovely hot, freshly made dishes. Highly recommended and we would very happily stay again!

A lovely and eccentric b and b, beautifully maintained, with an exceptional breakfast. The hosts were charming and professional. A lovely place to stay in Windermere.

The location was the reason for choosing this property. It’s a 15 minute walk to where we hired a motorboat. There are only 3 car park spaces at the hotel itself for guests. If they’re full, you have to park across the road by the glass bus stop. I managed to park at the hotel, but someone blocked me in. Luckily, I’m nimble and could manoeuvre to leave the hotel. The breakfast options were good, with lots to choose from. I ordered a full English, which is my go-to breakfast. Unfortunately, the bacon was overly salty (inedible to eat) and there was no black pudding. Otherwise, cooked well. The room itself (king room - number 11) at first glance looked quite posh and inviting. Unfortunately, it went downhill from here. The bathroom was spacious, but the shower was difficult to use to get to the correct setting; and turning it off without having very hot water splashing everywhere. The top of the bed was covered with cushions. Unnecessary and in the way! I had an awful shock once I looked at the pillows and removed the duvet cover!! HAIRS EVERYWHERE!! I felt sick. As I pulled down the duvet, more and more hairs were found - on both sides of the bed. Also, a dead fly on the floor and another flying around. I removed the hairs and just couldn’t relax. It was disgusting. I don’t ever complain (I shy away from confrontation and people trying to fob me off, hence this review). I hope the hotel improve their hygiene standards as it could be a gem. So disappointed.

The location is great, halfway between Windermere railway station and Bowness pier. The room is very big, perfectly clean and comfortable. Even though we were on the ground floor, we had a very nice view of greenery. The bathroom is also very big and clean. The owner is very nice and keen on making guests feel at home. We had excellent communication with him before and during our stay. Perhaps the best thing about the hotel is the breakfast. There is a big array of options, everything is tasty, excellently cooked and comes in generous portions. We had a great stay, everything went perfectly. We would gladly recommend the hotel.

The owners are so helpful and ever so friendly can’t fault them or the accommodation in any way it is so well situated and the breakfasts are great

Amazing cooked to order breakfasts! Loads of choices. Warm and friendly welcome from Rich and Ada. They gave great suggestions on places to visit. Room was comfortable with everything you needed for a short break in a convenient location to explore that part of the Lake District. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. The free access to the local spa was a lovely bonus after all the walking! Would highly recommend and would gladly visit again.

Room is clean and comfortable. Staffs are good and breakfast choices are available. Excellent breakfast. I wish to book again.

Lovely guest house, 10 minutes walk from Windermere and Bowness. Loads of lovely restaurants, cafes to choose from. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious and lots of excellent choices. Rich and his team were very helpful. Just be aware that offside health club is 2 miles away so tricky if you don't travel by car. Not a problem for us as we enjoyed the local walks and amenities. Thank you for a great stay.
