I was on the third floor in room 314 and upon entering my room I noticed the view from my window was almost completely blocked by a brick wall lol, which was the signage you see on the facade of the building when you drive up. Not too big a deal but would have been nice to see the view of The Forks, trees, etc. I also had an adjoining room and could hear my neighbours full conversations and coughing, again not a huge deal because I was out and about for most of my trip and sleep with white noise anyway. I didn’t feel like bothering with changing rooms but I would assume the staff would have accommodated the request with no issue. Just a warning for those booking ahead if you want a view and a quieter experience.

Both the hardware and services offered by the hotel is slipping downward. Not sure if it’s caused by the management or the ownership change. It just doesn’t feel like the same hotel as I knew before. I have stayed there several times since 2023. This time I’m really disappointed. I checked in around 8pm after a long day and wanted to order room service but it’s no longer available. The shower room has changed too. The bath tub is small & short. The shower room is a tiny plastic stall. It feels like a motel. I do not plan to stay here again for my next trip to Winnipeg.
