Well what can I even say about our stay - the staff were lovely! The location was spot on for the theatre, and the breakfast was fine. I think that's where the positives start and end. The room (and hotel as a whole) is quite dated. There's no air con in the rooms - and it's nearly 30°c in London so the room was a furnace! They did provide a fan, that didn't ocellate, so was fairly pointless and just blasted a stream of slightly cooler air in one direction. We apparently had break dancing in the room above us - I've never heard floorboards so squeaky! I called down to reception at around midnight to ask them to do something, anything, so we could sleep - I'm not sure if they did but it didn't improve, might've even got worse. There's dust in the bedside tables and on top of the wardrobe - which feels so miniscule, but come on, takes 2 seconds to run a duster round. Otherwise though I think housekeeping was fine. The TV in the room has Freeview - which is absolutely great, until you go to the loo, or upstairs start walking around, then the signal goes. The hotel also doesn't feel secure - there's no locked doors at all until you reach your room, so anyone can just stroll in. Windows can be fully opened and our room had a single bed under the window - recipe for disaster. I'm typing this after midnight and upstairs are apparently rearranging furniture. There's doors slamming in the corridor too, because who needs sleep anyway! Worst night!

Room was small but ok for a night or 2, staff were most helpful, and went above and beyond to help. Centrally located to everything, you cannot beat the price

This hotel is very tired and dated. Which is a real shame because it’s a lovely location close to all the London attractions. There was a horrible smell in the room at night. The carpet was sodden from what I can only assume was the previous occupant flooding the shower area. The walls need painted and there was dust visible behind the bedside table. Breakfast was ok. No air con either but a big fan assisted in the heatwave. The fan was also thick with stour

Good breakfast! Being in such an old building it doesn't have AC which was rough during a heatwave but not really their fault. The fan provided in the room did help a bit!

Only one reason I have given it a 1 * is the fact that the property doesn't have Aircon! I have stayed there during the heat wave for 3 days in June and it was deadly! Almost all hotels on the street have AC and it is a bare necessity these days. Although 2fans are given but in a very small room surrounded by other buildings, it was unbearable. They charge quite a hefty fee and therefore, there should be no justification why the tavellers have to bear with this. Otherwise, Breakfast, cleanliness, receptionists are ok and location excellent.

Good location. Bus stop outside. Helpful staff. Very smallroom but had everything we needed.

Great hotel and place to stay !
