The Hoxton, Vienna

Style without substance: The room. If you like to watch the silhouette your better half ablaut and shower, then this room is for you, if not - avoid! As you can see in the picture, the bed faces the toilet and shower- poor design (should be for single travellers only). Trust. In the morning the helpful receptionist promised a room move that day. Returning from a day out the Hoxton-customer trust was broken when it changed to ‘not possible’?! To add to the poor service, they didn’t initiate a room clean (which had been cancelled due to the promised move). Breakfast - great selection, but poorly organised. After being seated, you have to try to gain someone’s attention to take an order. No one seems to ‘own’ an area of tables and guests, good luck if your coffee arrives, basics… Pool. Fantastic addition, but no seems (again) to be responsible for clearing empty glasses and old towels from beds/tables. On the positive- great rooftop bar and the hotel location is an easy walk to the old centre. Overall, for me in business trust is the key; I, my company and fellow business colleagues, won’t be staying in a Hoxton hotel agin.

The reception desk/ check in was not helpful and even curt at times. No managers seemed to be on the property on a Friday afternoon or front desk did not want to provide their contact info. Room we prepaid for was not available , they gave us a smaller room. Went to rooftop bar and took 50 minutes after ordering for French fries and they were out of several ingredients to make specialty cocktails listed on their menu. Elevator was broken on second day we were there. However, there were a few standout servers downstairs in little lobby bar and restaurant . Also on our last night one of the downstairs Food and beverage people introduced us to their supervisor / mgr and she was kind enough to sit and listen to our complaints. Up to that time most staff had said there were no managers on the property( June 19&20). Also no music in basement as offered even a poster in elevator advertised the music for Friday and Saturday. The venue ( hotel bldg) is nice.

Lovely hotel. Staff is amazing. We only stayed one night but if we ever return to Vienna. We will definitely stay at the Hoxton again!

Good place to stay. Clean, quite, well priced and well located

Good place to stay in a good location. Check in staff were very pleasant & helpful. Room was good. Plenty of room & well appointed. Rooftop bar is great, with good views over the city. My only gripe is the breakfast. I went for the cold buffet on 2 days, which was fine. The hot buffet however was cold on the two days I tried it. This really is unforgivable given the overall standard of the hotel.

Really nice hotel at good price. Great location, nice staff, and really great vibes. Room was small but stylish and clean.

Fabulous hotel with time-travel style

Everything was amazing!!

Room had a stale smell, staff helped to get the windows unlocked for me. Unfortunately check in was slow and would have been nice to the staff to offer some water while you wait, particularly as your generally arriving from travelling long distances. Menu for room service was out of date, and hard to hear the staff when ordering as the phone was more for looks than functionality. Rooftop bar is nice but no priority given to those staying in house and service is lacking. Additionally room only cleaned upon request. All in all, an ok stay, however the expected more from my favourite hotel brand!
