Sarasa Hotel Shinsaibashi was a great hotel for my trip. I arrived before my check-in and was able to leave my bags with the front desk as I explored the city before check-in. Room was clean and had everything I needed. Location is excellent in terms of being close to subway, Dotonbori, etc. Hotel also had washer/dryer which came in handy!

We booked as a family of four indicating the ages of our children. Upon arrival we notice there was only bed setup for 3 of us and we were charged on site for the an “extra child”. That only gave us a single extra futon without any amenities, not even a bath towel, not to mention everything only has 3 sets such as toothbrush and slippers. The room is of poor design, with the Japanese style folding screen across the window which does not block lights. The lights from the shops around was so bright even at night and difficult to fall asleep. The humidifier is smelly and gives poor odour - however in Japan it’s so dry we just have to use it. The only good thing about the hotel is its relative good position and close proximity to shops

Family room was great! We had the japanese / western style room... it had 2 queen beds (or bigger double?) and 2 singles set up japanese style. It was awesome. Room was very spacious, very clean, very close walk to the mall which then goes on to Dotonbori.

The room was reasonably sized for the price albeit the bathroom was tiny, it did have an excellent ac unit. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotels location is great, being a 10 minute walk to dotonburi.

The room was very clean and we really appreciated the option to sleep on futon or bed, as well as the soaking tub! Several of our group really loved the soaking tub, especially with the amount of walking and stressnavigation from our trip.
