Best hotel I stayed in all of Cambodia. Quaint, with a warm staff. Excellent location. If you are in SR - this is the place to say! 10 stars

Very good for the price

The Golden Butterfly Villa is a nice property, well-maintained and in good repair, conveniently located a few minutes' walk from the Siem Reap River, Night Market, Old Market, Pub Street, and more for your entertainment and dining. The hotel is comfortable and clean, and is in a quiet spot about 50 m away from the street. There is a school next door, so there is some sound from it, but to my party the sound of children proved to be a feature, not a bug. My most important impression of the Golden Butterfly Villa is that the staff were just wonderful! They really made the stay comfortable and convenient. They greeted us warmly each time we came or went, gave us cool, scented towels to refresh us when we came home from our excursions each day, and even helped us plan out how to go different places and how long to spend there. They have a driver available, who did airport transfers for us and also took us sightseeing by tuk-tuk for one afternoon, to several places we wanted to go; he can also do private tours as a guide - he speaks good English. Overall, I would absolutely choose this property again for another stay.

Great staff , pretty retro building but very close to good food and shopping . Can’t beat the price !

My balcony had a view. But the best part was the children's laughter coming from the school next door.

The staff was courteous.

The place is very clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff are very welcoming. Anything you need they are happy to get or arrange. The location is easy walk to everything. The only downside is it’s beside a school so it’s a bit noisy in the morning. At night it’s a bit noisy from the night clubs. It’s not that bad but you can still hear it. I brought earplugs and had no problem going to bed and sleeping in. I’d stay there again.

Clean room, excellent staff. Some rooms are located close to a school and activities can be heard early (6:30am) as well as some club music at night but if you're ok with noise it's not distracting.

Staff welcoming was excellent, 26th drink, dried bananas but also annotated map & common phrases words to know. No lift, but I was able to be on 1st floor instead of 3rd. Navin, part of reception was excellent.
