The rooms are really nice, smaller than pictures, but nice. View was ok, small porthole in a Concrete wall. Pool was great, breakfast was amazing. Staff are very friendly and attentive. We had a car so it was 7 minute drive to parking outside Ortigia every evening plus we did day trips to Noto, Catania, Marzemeni, Brucoli. Parking was easy and convenient. Great value for the price. I would stay again. We rented a self captained boat as well, coast is beautiful, and we ate every night in Ortigia. We split our time between Syracusa-Ortigia and Taormina.

The hotel needs to be updated and a big paint job.

The hotel is situated in a wonderful location, with beautiful surroundings that made our stay particularly enjoyable. The breakfast was a little below our expectations, and some of the amenities could benefit from updating. However, these were minor issues, and overall we had a very pleasant stay and would happily return.

It’s a great hotel with free parking. Location is very convenient. One thing not so great is that there isn’t any coffee machine, kettle or any other standard equipment. For this level the hotel is, it is very unusual. Other than that, it’s not a bad one.

Good breakfast options. Staff worked hard to keep it full Good dinner options as well The pool area was lovely. Great place to spend a couple of hours Lovely grounds, beautiful building Bus stop right outside the hotel for easy access around the town and down to Ortigia Couldn’t fault this hotel

Quiet location in historic “grand” hotel surroundings. Rooms are modern and beds are firm! I would go back.

We loved this place. A real step back in time to a grand old hotel with lovely spacious rooms and a great menu. Staff were lovely and helpful. Our room was more than big enough for three people with a separate room for the third person so could easily have just gone for one room rather than two.

Wonderful stay! Very beautiful and charming hotel. Seems like hotel is an iconic, historic property. Staff was kind and considerate. Very beautiful property with a lovely garden and presence. Very easy (and free) parking onsite. Room was comfortable. Bathroom was a good size, with wonderful natural light. Shower pressure was excellent. Not too far from Ortigia (approximately 1 1/2 miles). If you have a car, can drive from hotel and park near Ortigia and enjoy nearby sites. Breakfast was above average with coffee/tea, juices, hard boiled and scrambled eggs, toast, pastries and fruit and cheese. Enjoyed offerings for breakfast. Would stay here again!
