I love a citizenM. High tech comfortable rooms with a modern sleek design. Smart features operated by an iPad including automatic black out curtains which is so nice. The property is nice, people are friendly, and it’s in a GREAT location. Walking distance to millennial park, shopping, and across the street from the hottest new rooftop bar/ underground speakeasy.

The stay itself was amazing. The hotel is in the perfect part of Chicago. The room itself was beautiful and the showers and everything were amazing. The gym was beautiful and the patio looking over the city was our favorite place to relax. However the team members were not the best. Keep in mind that they DO treat you different being an Expedia guest. We had a few complications checking in and during our trip and the moment they found out we were Expedia guest they started acting different, being more passive, and they overall became less helpful. That was disappointing because the hotel its self was so nice. We also paid to get a better view on the higher parts of the building and when we got there the guy said he would get the best view he could but no promises and our view ending up being terrible. We were facing a wall the entire time. On top of that, the employees were extremely helicopter. I understand they are supposed to patrol the area, however we felt like we couldn’t go anywhere in the hotel without an employee slowly walking over and just circling around us the entire time watching us. It ruined that part of the experience and made us uncomfortable so most times we would just get up and go to our room. Other then that the stay was nice and I hope someone else’s experience is better!

The room was really cool, small but I still loved it. You have to read the description before booking. If you don’t plan to be in your room majority of the time the room is cool. The hotel was a cool vibe and the decor was awesome. I was not a fan of the bar staff but other than that it was a great stay. Had drinks other places around the area. You check yourself in and out. Great location for all the things in the area. Will stay again!

Great stay besides the homeless man sleeping in the downstairs lobby in the morning

This experience was not pleasant from the moment that I arrived. The front desk lady at night around 11:30 pm on Friday was unbothered and rude. The price changed from what I saw in the app by $300 per room. The room floor was coming apart. The pillowcases dirty with black skid marks. The headboard had white substance on them that were sketchy. I paid over $2500 for two rooms and there was a convention. They place my room right in front of the elevator that ding and sounded like a train all night. The lady wouldn’t not change our room. She placed my guest five floors apart from me. The worst experience and I am a world-traveler.

4/5 stars The location was excellent, and the hotel was very clean. The gym was a nice amenity, and I really appreciated being able to leave my luggage at the hotel after checkout so I could continue exploring the city. Breakfast was also enjoyable with a good selection. The room, however, was extremely small, and considering the price, I don’t think the hotel offered the best value. The staff experience was inconsistent—some employees were warm and helpful, while others were less welcoming. Overall, I had a good stay and would rate it 4 out of 5 stars. It’s a great option if location is your top priority, but be prepared for compact rooms at a premium price.
