At the coffee workshop, Joey, a Vietnamese coffee enthusiast, gave us a detailed explanation of the varieties, processing techniques, traditions, and culture of Vietnamese coffee. She even guided us in making several Vietnamese coffees ourselves. The French brought coffee beans to Vietnam, and due to its unique geographical and climatic conditions, Vietnam is particularly suitable for growing Robusta coffee beans. Coffee culture is deeply ingrained in Vietnamese life. From selecting and drying the beans to brewing, I blended several coffees with two handsome Argentinian guys. [laughing][laughing][laughing]
The coffee workshop in Sai Gon is an absolute gem and truly one for the books. I was completely captivated by Vietnam’s rich and vibrant coffee culture. This experience went far beyond a simple tasting, it was immersive, engaging, and heartfelt from start to finish. The presentation was top notch. You won’t just watch inspiring videos; you’ll live the story. I got to roast, brew, and savor coffee with my own hands, and every step was filled with joy and learning. A special shoutout to An, our incredible coffee guide. His command of English, deep knowledge, and visible passion for Vietnamese coffee made the experience even more unforgettable. He wasn’t just teaching; he was sharing a piece of his heart. What touched me most was his sincerity. He genuinely cared, constantly checking if I had questions, making sure I soaked in not just the flavors but the roots and soul of Vietnamese coffee. If you’re ever in Vietnam, this workshop is a must. It’s not just about coffee. I
I’m glad I took this coffee workshop in Lacaph, where you can learn about Vietnamese coffee culture and how to make your coffee with Phin filter / pour over method properly. My trainer is Sierra, she is a great trainer and knowledgeable about coffee and also a fun person! Based on her recommendation I should try cà phê muối / salted coffee and yes, their salted coffee is so goodddd. I think the best one in town 😎. I’ve tried it two times! I love it so much and I missed it again already, because that’s so good 😍.
Joey was amazing! 🤍 She was the best teacher ever. She’s very bubbly and kind and she let us move comfortably. Lectures were very easy to understand because of her and the way she showed us the vietnam coffee culture was very emotional that it made us understand how important it is to know your coffee to get the best out of it. As she say, pour your heart to the cup and you will get the best coffee! Thank you Joey!! 🤍
We are in Saigon for holiday and decided to know more on coffee culture here. So we booked a class on Klook for Hands-on Discovery of Vietnamese Coffee & Culture. Our trainer is Sierra and she is very knowledgeable and patient with our group. We truly appreciate the 2.5 hrs workshop as we learnt so much from her. We also get to see beans roasting and pair local snacks with our coffee and got a cert + polaroid as a sweet memento! Thanks and will recommend my friends to come!
I am not a coffee lover but my husband is, but even I don't enjoy coffee as much as he does. This fun-filled coffee workshop was equally worth exploring to newbies. Our two teachers, Vi and Sierra were so friendly and knowledeable. Everything was organised and they even used Poleroids to take photos for us and posted them back on the certificates given us at the end of the class. The coffee place is clean and easy to locate. Definitely a must-go when you visit HCM!
If you love coffee, you have to take this class to learn more about the Vietnamese coffee history and culture. From the moment we got there, we received VIP treatment from all of the people working there. When we were escorted to the teaching room, we loved that there were only a handful of us so Kieu was able to answer our numerous questions. Kieu is a sweetheart. She explained everything so well and she was so patient with us. I learned so much about the coffee culture in Vietnam and why it's become a staple. When you visit HCMC, you need to take this class!
They went above and beyond! Best class I’ve ever been to ☕️ I highly recommend everyone to try this class — in-depth history and background of Vietnamese coffee and they gave us souvenirs. I was able to meet my classmates too, which is a plus! (prev classes ive been to, i never rly knew my classmates)
I love the Vietnamese Coffee and Cultural Experience at Lacaph Space. Tram Anh, our coffee guide was passionate about sharing her knowledge on coffee and Vietnam culture with us. Through her, I learned that there are 2 types of coffee beans cultivated in Vietnam: Arabica and Robusta. Robusta is primary grown in the southern Central Highlands; it is also the most widely used coffee beans in Vietnamese coffee (so you know which to get now!) 😉 Tram Anh always went above and beyond when she taught us how to roast coffee and make Cà Phê Sua Dá. She was also always ready to answer all the questions we had with a smile 😊
This was the highlight experience of my trip to Ho Chi Minh!, I am a coffee lover and i would do this experience again when i come back!. The gorgeous guide of the experience, Siu, was incredible, her introduction to Viet coffee and how to properly craft it and the history behind it was 2nd to none. I can definitely say this is a must do when visiting Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh and experiencing beautiful coffee sourced from local and organic farmers and familys!
