Tomtam was an amazing guide! He was very warm and friendly, helpful and cheerful. All the sights were beautiful, and we got a lot of great insights from him, he is very knowledgeable! It was a beautiful morning, definitely recommended! ❤️

It's nice to woke up early, head to the mountain and just... wait for the sunrise. Very laid back tour, no rush. Matt knows the history so well, offered to take photos and knows how to give each joiners time to explore. If you're the kind of person who's into nature, history and culture, this tour is definitely for you.

Η Nuttaya ήταν απολύτως η καλύτερη ξεναγός. Ποτέ δεν μας πίεσε να εξερευνήσουμε τρεις διαφορετικούς ναούς, ήταν πολύ κατατοπιστική και εξαιρετικά ευγενική. Τη συνάντησα σε μια διαφορετική εκδρομή, αλλά μου προσφέρθηκε να μου ξεφλουδίσει λίγα longgan. Αν είστε μαζί της, σας παρακαλώ, ΖΗΤΗΣΤΕ ΣΥΣΤΑΣΕΙΣ ΓΙΑ ΤΑ ΚΑΛΥΤΕΡΑ ΠΡΑΓΜΑΤΑ ΝΑ ΦΕΡΕΤΕ ΠΙΣΩ ΣΤΟ ΣΠΙΤΙ. A very early start but worth it for the beautiful sunrise on the mountain and the opportunity to meditate with the monks. Our guide, Tai, was very knowledgeable and kind. All the arrangements for booking, confirmation and pick up were smooth.

The pre-dawn start was worth it. We experienced sai bat (giving alms) at Doi Suthep after seeing the sunrise there. The other 2 temples were peaceful, surorunded by beautiful lush greenies. We fed the biggest catfishes and koi fishes we’ve ever seen! Matt was an exceptional tour guide. Matt spoke English very well and understood our questions. Matt helped us take beautiful family photos. Thank you for the wonderful experience Matt!

I joined the sunrise and temple tour with Mr. Avi, and he was truly a great guide. He’s very knowledgeable about Chiang Mai’s culture, temples, and religion, and he explains everything in a clear and fun way. You can feel his passion, and he was caring and kind to everyone throughout the tour. About the sunrise — it really depended on the weather that morning. The sky was cloudy, so the sun didn’t show no matter how early we arrived. In fact, we even reached the viewpoint about two minutes earlier than the online sunrise time, so there was no delay at all. I noticed a small group of participants seemed unhappy and asked to leave early, though I’m not sure if it was related to the sunrise. From what I saw, Avi stayed patient, polite, and did his best the whole time. Overall, Avi was professional, friendly, and very dedicated. The sunrise is something no guide can control, and I believe he handled everything very well. I really appreciate his effort and would happily recommend him.

As our hotel is not within the old town area, we did not have a free hotel pickup service. we took an early morning grab from nimman instead. 1 of the guest was unfortunately late, we waited for about 12 mins for her at the Thapae gate to no avai and we finally set off! We got banana as our guide, who could really talk alot and explains alot about each of the temples we go to. it was nice watching the sunrise at Doi Suthep and we also had a proposal that happened in our group! it was a nice tour and we ended at 1030am ish back in old town, sufficient time for us to head back to rest before we set off again for the rest of our itinerary.

This tour is the best way to start your day in Chiang Mai! Seeing Wat Doi Suthep at sunrise was absolutely magical—we beat the crowds and witnessed the peaceful morning chanting ceremony. The views over the city from the summit as the sun came up were spectacular. Wat Pha Lat, the 'hidden temple,' was a beautiful, tranquil gem nestled in the jungle. It’s a true sanctuary! Highly recommend this half-day experience for an authentic, peaceful, and culturally rich start to your morning.

It’s worth it to wake up so early because meet-up time is 5am. Michelle, our guide, was very friendly and fun to be with. Though there was no view of sunrise because of the gloomy weather that day, the tour was still worth what we paid for. The pagoda in Doi Suthep is so beautiful, and Michelle was able to provide us with as much information for us to know the background of the places we visited. Water was also provided to the participants of the tour. And lastly, the tour is a bit flexible. I was able to do merit at Doi Suthep.

The tour was made EXTRA SPECIAL by James, the tourguide! His English was IMPECCABLE! Plus, he had extensive knowledge about all the topics he talked about, as well as the places we visited. You can just tell that he loved what he was doing. We had so much fun, and would definitely recommend booking. Our co tour attendees were also a fun bunch. til next time!
