Ημερήσια εκδρομή στη λίμνη Sun Moon και στο αγρόκτημα Cingjing (αναχώρηση από το κέντρο της Ταϊτσούνγκ και τον σταθμό Ταϊτσούνγκ HSR)

We booked a private tour to Sun Moon Lake and Qingjing Farm just a day before, and everything turned out fantastic. Our guide, Cook, reached out in advance to introduce himself, confirm pick-up details, and even reminded me to submit participant info for insurance — something I had forgotten. As we later found out, he’s also known as “Captain Cook,” which suited him perfectly. Throughout the journey, he was helpful and informative, offering great suggestions and adjusting the itinerary to suit our group of four kids and an elderly family member, so nothing felt rushed. At Sun Moon Lake, we took a boat ride to Ita Thao, where the kids enjoyed pedal boats and street food. Qingjing Farm was the highlight — stunning views, sheep feeding, and a fun show for the kids. Despite the long day, Cook remained accommodating, helped take family photos, and even dropped us at FengJia Night Market. Highly recommended for families seeking a flexible, well-organised private tour.

solo traveller here. my tour was conducted on 27 mar 26 and the guide was eric. our bus departed from miyahara before the scheduled 8am, which was great. we arrived sun moon lake at 9:45am & cingjing farm at about 2:35pm. we had some time for lunch at the street across sun moon lake. the tour was conducted in full english which was fine, although i would have preferred if it was in chinese instead. eric did offer to also speak in chi for the tour group. we did not have clear skies on the day at cingjing farm and the sheep show was cancelled. understandably, it can be cancelled due to weather conditions…. there was a horse show instead. we left cingjing farm at about 5pm and arrived back to miyahara at roughly 7pm. overall, this tour provides the ease of transport from taichung city to sun moon lake & cingjing farm as getting there w/o a car can be inconvenient. i recommend the tour for this factor.

This is a can't miss tour! I'm not usually a tour person and booked last minute, mainly for the convenient transportation. I'm so glad I did because it was so much fun! Eric is a great guide and knows tons of history and local lore. The vibes were vibing and there's plenty of room to explore along this itinerary as a solo or with the group. Perfect blend of a guided experience and an adventure! The sheep are ADORABLE! Be sure to bring cash for feed.

Overall it was a good trip. Our guide, Eric, was a responsible person who made sure all the members were present and well taken care of throughout the journey. He also offered to take photos for us, which was a nice plus point. At Sun Moon Lake, it was raining that day but the trip still continued as planned and we managed to cover all the key places according to the itinerary. At Qingjing Farm, we were able to enjoy two shows, which was great. Luckily, the rain stopped by the time we arrived. However, the time at this location felt a bit rushed as we did not have much time to interact with the sheep because we needed to hurry for the shows. Overall, it was still a good and enjoyable trip.

Eric, our guide, was pleasant and was able to try to explain the history of the stops we made. However, due to bad weather, our Quingting Farm visit was partly chaotic with most of the participants wet. Nonetheless, Eric tried to warn us to bring appropriate accessories to counter the rain. Just for future learnings, the tour should account for the bad weather in the mountainous area and just suggest to visit other places or just allow the participants to find shelter in an indoor facility instead of letting them walk the trail in a downpour. organizing the group can be further improved by letting know the participants why they are gathered in a certain place.

Μια καλή ημερήσια εκδρομή από την Ταϊτσούνγκ. Παρόλο που ήταν μερικώς συννεφιασμένο, άξιζε τον κόπο. Ο Έρικ, ο οδηγός μας, ήταν υπέροχος και μας είπε πολλά ενδιαφέροντα στοιχεία για τα μέρη (μας βοήθησε ακόμη και να βρούμε δείπνο όταν επιστρέψαμε στην Ταϊτσούνγκ). Θα θέλαμε επίσης να ευχαριστήσουμε τον οδηγό του λεωφορείου μας που οδήγησε πολύ με ασφάλεια στα βουνά.

Our tour guide/ driver was Mr. Max. He lived in Boracay for 10 yrs. so he speak a bit of Tagalog which is a plus for Filipino guests. He coordinated the change in the nearest pickup pt as our hotel has no parking. Also suggested the photo stops and took the photos while giving a brief history of the place. (Fav. trivia: Xuanzang and his temple>>> he is the monk in the “Journey to the west”) Sun Moon Lake - ita thai Pier (ticket booth for the boat ride & the shopping/ lunch break for prawn crackers, cabbage buns, milk tea and ice cream, twisted potato fries) - Xuangang Pier (performance from Formasan aboriginal tribe as well as the Temple plus the tea eggs and mushroom for snacks) Cingjing Farm (SHEEP!!!) - fed the sheep with grass and pellets (bought onsite) ; snacked on sausages, guavas and sweet lemons ; the horse show was really engaging (eventhough i could not understand it as it was in Mandarin) , he dropped us at our place of choice which was “Fengchia Night Market”

너무나도 즐거웠던 투어였습니다. 일월담은 너무나도 아름다웠어요 다시한번가고싶은 곳이었습니다 푸른빛의 호수는 정말 환상적이었습니다 칭징농장에서 말쇼는 진짜 대박~!! 함께해준 Eric 가이드는 정말 재미있게 인솔해주었어요 강추합니다~^^

Eric 가이드님은 30명이 넘는 인원을 통솔하면서 엄청난 베테랑 면모를 보여주셨어요. 지각을 반복하는 이들이 있었지만 그들이 일정에 지장을 주지 않도록 잘 관리해주셨습니다 ㅎㅎ 가장 기억에 남는 건 가이드님의 전문성(길 잃을 것 같은 포인트에 언제나 미리 와 계시고 먹거리나 화장실 위치 등 가는 곳마다 알려주심), 칭징농장 가는 길에 있는 협곡의 장대한 풍경, 말타기쇼(곡예기사들의 열정이 엄청남)였어요. 타이중에서 약 1시간 반 거리이고 투어가 아니면 하루에 다 둘러볼 수 없는 곳들인데, 덕분에 알찬 하루가 되었습니다.

Eric is such a good and responsible tour guide! He guided us from A to Z, and even he helped us to request for a refund of the sheep’s grass as there’s not may of sheep’s over there for us to feed. He always make sure all of the tour members are in line and not left behind.
