Ημίωρη εκδρομή στο Balik Pulau στην Πενάνγκ

We had a wonderful morning with Ken. She brought us to a nutmeg plantation, a belacan shop, the container murals in a padi field and we also tried crispy hor fun, asam laksa, belacan chicken and white nutmeg juice. Along the way she regaled us with interesting tidbits about the places we were visiting. The final destination was Pulau Bentong where we took pictures on an infinity staircase overlooking the sea. Well worth the time to see the other side of Penang 👏

Thank you to our wonderful tour guide Lim for a great tour filled with memorable experiences! We enjoyed some really delicious Malaysian food that we would otherwise not have known to order. Special experiences were the fishing village and sighting the weaver bird and its remarkable nest. We love to chat to the locals whenever we can and Lin was happy to wait patiently while we did so. He was also a treasure trove of information about the history of the area and cultural practises. It was a great day!

We had gone for the Evening tour a few days before this, so when we went for this Morning tour, Jenny tweaked our itinerary to add in other places so that there was no overlap :) Really enjoyed having breakfast like a local, before heading to the nutmeg farm and belacan shop. Once again, a very fun experience, highly recommended!! Thanks Jenny 🤩

Jenny is extremely knowledgeable about the entire place (Balik Pulau), sharing little tidbits of info as we went along to the different places in the itinerary. We were also extremely lucky to have had the last two bowls of super delicious assam laksa at Kim Laksa, even though it was not in the itinerary I think! The sunset was also beautiful - we tried to see the sunset from Georgetown the next day and it was impossible because it was blocked by this Pulau. Hence, the entire tour was a very enjoyable experience. Thank you!

遊覽當日，雖然時陰時晴，不但沒有掃興，卻讓我們享受了濃厚的田園氣息！ 感謝導遊James 沿途的悉心講解與帶領，車途中讓我們深入認識檳城社區，喬治城舊區聯合國教科文組織世界遺產及不同宗教的共融及特色。 品嚐當地美食，在Balik Pulau體會漁人村風貌、參觀馬來西要自古至今的獨特香料：肉豆蔻工廠、民間美食必備的醬料：蝦醬工廠；不但可享用美味的豆蔻汁，更可購買手信，將味道帶回家！ 回程前，我們往觀賞稻田及標緻的容器藝術；青蔥稻米已收割，陽光照射下的稻田充滿了大自然氣息，雨後晴天～大大小小的雀鳥在天空穿梭徘徊讓，我們目不暇給；車子穿梭稻田小徑，我們發現了很特別的雀巢掛在樹上，真是大開眼界！最後品嚐了地道叻沙麵食及小點，便結束了半天行程，返回喬治城。 感謝James 專業的帶領及全程悉心照應！

I highly recommend this tour. Jenny is an excellent tour guide. She is a local and knows Balik Pulau very well. She is a very warm person making my brother and I feel welcome. Balik Pulau is a great destination to visit, a rural area perfect to escape from the daily stresses in life. Balik Pulau is rich in history and famous for its cottage Industries. I particularly enjoy the visit to the first Hakka Church, looking at some of the murals, visiting the paddy fields, mangrove area and the fishing village. At the paddy field, I enjoyed the taste of the unique drink of lime, basil and honey with the banana cake. The scenic views of the different green shades and yellow at the paddy fields with the mountain background makes it a great place to relax. At the fishing village, I was thrilled to see some huge monitor lizards. The views of fishing boats were also scenic. The last stop at Pantai malindo is also breathtaking, famous for its beautiful sunset. I highly recommend this tour.

Είχαμε μια υπέροχη πρωινή περιήγηση με την Jenny. Η Jenny ήταν πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα, μοιράστηκε πολλά για την τοπική ιστορία και τη ζωή στην Πενάνγκ. Μια πολύ μοναδική περιήγηση και διαφορετική εμπειρία που θα συνιστούσα αν βρίσκεστε στην Πενάνγκ. Το Balik Pulau είναι μια όμορφη εξοχή, το δρομολόγιο ήταν καλά σχεδιασμένο, με πρωινό και μεσημεριανό σε τοπικά σημεία (σταματήσαμε επίσης για chendol καλύτερο από αυτά της πόλης), εργοστάσιο μοσχοκάρυδου, εργοστάσιο belachan και ορυζώνα. Ήταν άνετα καθ' όλη τη διάρκεια στο αυτοκίνητο και απόλαυσα τις γνώσεις και τις συζητήσεις με την Jenny!

One of the most beautiful places in Penang! Loved the kampung vibe and enjoyed the best Red Prawn durian! Shout out to our professional guide Mr Law who went above and beyond in ensuring we are well taken care of and in sharing his knowledge. ☺️

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the countryside with Mr. Law. He was very knowledgeable and took excellent care of us. He added in some extra stops that were not on the itinerary and answered all our questions about Malaysia and beyond. I highly recommend Mr. Law and this relaxing tour to have a break from the city and see the Island in more detail.

We were delighted with Klook Balik Pulau 1/2 day trip( Durian tasting ) to escape from urban. We have Ms Ken as guide. Her expertise on winding road, historical story to customer care are impressive. We had enjoyable morning! Fully recomended.
