Things to do in Qaitbay Citadel

The driver and tour guide we encountered on our day trip to Alexandria were both excellent. The driver was very patient and waited for us at the hotel in the morning. He also proactively pointed out rest stops and convenience stores along the way where we could rest and buy water. He was always smiling and had a great attitude. The tour guide, Mig, spoke very fluent English, had a wealth of professional knowledge, and provided very professional explanations. He was able to answer questions well. Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend it!

We had wondeful experice of the day trip from Giza to Alexandria. The van was new and driver Ahmid was on time and safe driving. We met up with our guide Moo (Mohmand) in Alexandria. Moo was knowledable guide and explained well at each site and gave us enough time to see (no rushing). Moo took us to a vegetarian resturant for lunch upon our request and enjoyed the local veg food. Overall wonerful experice and highly recommend.

Our trip started at 7.00 AM from our hotel near airport.Driver Mr Sharif and Guide Mr Ezz Eldeen accompanied us. On the way towards the Alexandria,our guide gave insights about the Alexandria’s history.After reaching Alexandria our driver served us falafel which was delicious.Then we move on to our first place in Alexandria called Catacombs. Our guide gaves us brief insight and history about the place and after that we went to Pompey’s Pillar. After completing two places we went to Qaitbay Citadel, there our guide Ezz explains to us about the significance of the qaitbay its rich history and after we explored the place and went to our next destination that is Alexandria Library. The Library was huge and was very beautiful. We are Thankful to our driver and our guide, who gave us nice experience of Alexandria.

We had a wonderful trip to Alexandria and we would like to show our gratitude to Yomna, our tour guide. She was really professional, helpful, friendly and caring. Additionally, Yomna spoke good English and explained everything clearly at all of the sites. She always asked us whether we would like to take photos and even helped us take great pictures and showed us great spots too. She was the most excellent tour guide we had in Egypt! Our driver was also professional and paid full attention in driving. He was on time, nice and helpful. Our experience in Alexandria was top-notch. All the destinations suggested by the tour were worth visiting. The restaurant we had lunch at served great sea food dishes. I would highly recommend this tour to visitors who look for a one-day trip to this city!

note that all ticket prices are not included and neither was the lunch. however the guide brought a lot of much needed guidance and context while visiting the monuments. we visited the fortress, the amphitheater, the catacombs, and the library. she was able to explain and provide more information about each location which was very much appreciated

Day 1/3: Pyramid of Giza, Memphis and Sakkara. We had a great day visiting the pyramid today. It is our first time in Egypt and our tour guide is very friendly and knowledgeable. She explained the story behind each monument and is very attentive to my elderly mother's need. She also speaks good English and easy to understand. I definitely recommend her.
