My instructos, Noy and Caroline, were awesome. Really made my first ever day of scuba diving comfortable and fun. We saw corals, a lot of clown fish and puffer fish at the sites. Really cool experience.

The Filipino counter girl at the Tabenka dive shop is very professional and speaks fluent and gentle English. She speaks at the right speed and standard like a high school English teacher to talk to customers. The food on the ship and the service of the Filipino guy are needless to say and are too considerate. Next I will also choose this dive shop to satisfy my vacation when I come to El Nido and Coron again.

If you’re looking for a way to see the ocean floor without the learning curve of scuba or the "distance" of snorkeling, helmet diving (often called SeaTREK) is a unique middle ground.
Based on 2026 reviews from popular spots like Boracay, Bali, and the Caribbean, here is the "honest peer" breakdown of the experience.
🫧 The Experience: What It’s Actually Like
The process is straightforward: you wear a heavy, glass-fronted helmet that is connected to an air hose on the surface. As you descend a ladder, the air pressure keeps the water out, creating a "bubble" around your head.
You stay dry (mostly): Your head and hair stay completely dry. You can even wear glasses or reach in to scratch your nose (carefully!).
Zero Gear Anxiety: There’s no regulator to grip with your teeth and no mask that might fog up or leak into your nose.

Martin and Pot, our instructors, were absolutely amazing! They not only delivered a great training and showed us amazing spots, but also made us fall in love with the diving world. The food was also so delicious, I couldn’t recommend them enough! Thank you!!

I was terrified and almost had a panic attack because of my PTSD and GAD but I overcame it. Diver was so kind to make sure we descend slowly and held my hand throughout and reassured me. My partner was reassuring too. There were a lot of instructions to keep in mind that made me feel overwhelmed but its an experience you should not miss. It just seems scary at first but once you are underwater and see the divers and other tourists, you feel less scared. The photos and videos come free too. But the experience was short and you could not really go around but just stand in a small area for photos on a coral reef and the diver will lure fish with bread to take nice photos and videos. It is one of the exciting activities i did at boracay with my partner.

Compared to Coron, the waters here are generally shallower and calmer, making them ideal for beginners or casual diving. The instructor will have you practice on the surface first, covering what to do if your regulator accidentally comes out, and mask clearing, which is often the most daunting part for new divers.

Amazing Helmet Dive Experience!
As a first-time solo traveler, I felt really safe booking through Klook. The staff were very maasikaso and made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. The divers were funny and friendly, which helped me feel more comfortable underwater. They also took beautiful photos and videos that captured the whole experience perfectly! Highly recommend this activity — such a fun and unforgettable part of my Boracay trip! 🌊💙

Unforgettable Underwater Adventure with Boracay Helmet Dive!
Our Boracay Helmet Dive experience was absolutely incredible! Getting to walk on the ocean floor and see the vibrant marine life up close was truly something special. It's such a unique way to explore the underwater world, and we were amazed by the colorful fish swimming all around us. The guides were fantastic – super friendly, professional, and made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable throughout the entire dive.
But the fun didn't stop there! Our speedboat driver was awesome. He even gave us the chance to take the wheel and experience sailing the boat ourselves! That was such an unexpected and thrilling bonus to an already amazing activity. It definitely added an extra layer of excitement to the whole adventure.
If you're looking for a memorable and unique activity in Boracay, I highly recommend giving Helmet Diving a try. And if you're lucky enough to have the same crew we did, you might even get a shot at captaining the speedboat! Definitely a highlight of our trip!
