Since the pickup doesn't come to Phan Ke Binh Street, I had to go to the nearest pickup hotel, so I walked about 10 minutes to the Lotte Hotel on the day. The bus arrived on time and moved around the city to pick up other participants, but the traffic was so heavy that it took more than 30 minutes to get on the highway, with frequent stops and starts, and I got a little carsick. I recommend using motion sickness medicine if you are worried about being on the bus for about 3 hours. It was drizzling at the time, but the rain stopped in Ha Long Bay, and although there were no sunny breaks, the sea was calm with no wind, and I was able to enjoy the magnificent scenery. The guide also speaks Japanese, so there is no need to worry about language. On the way there, you will be forcibly taken to a souvenir shop for a break, but please accept it as contributing to the Vietnamese economy. They don't try to make you buy anything too persistently. The fee includes dinner at a Bun Cha restaurant in the old town on the way back. After the meal, the guide will be waiting, so they can arrange a taxi to the hotel at your own expense, and the tour ends. I wanted to go to the old town, so I declined the taxi.
