Things to do in Luang Prabang

fantastic!! the staff was nice the boat was not over filled passengers could easy get up move around and take photos. I had the best seat in the house with a fellow solo traveler eho we was chatting on the boat and of cause the sunset was incredible!! all us on the boat could relax so so nice. a beer is included(or soft drink if you prefer) highly recommended

Beautiful costumes, special light effects and even water effects. The music was partially live, and singing was playbacked. To be honest, the dancing wasn't 100% perfect, but it was really nice. We got a WhatsApp message with instructions of where to pick up our real paper tickets (just beside the door). It seemed that all the 20 westerners were put together at the front left of the stage. Even though we bought the cheapest tickets, we got 2nd row seats. The room was filled for about 1/3 with people. Mainly Chinese groups. Come at 7 at the entrance for a welcome dance. We walked to the entrance from the centre (Google Maps sent us the wrong way 2 times). The performance started at 7.30 sharp. There was Lao, English, and Chinese translation on the digital screens beside the stage. But it was hard to read and see the show. Plus the translation sometimes went odd, like one language was missing or the 2 screens were not the same. The story wasn't essential to enjoy the show.

Absolutely amazing experience. We started with boat ride on Mekong river and visited Ban Xang Hai village for whiskey making process followed by visit to Pak Ou Caves, delicious lunch 😋 at Elephant Camp and then visited the Absolutely stunning Kuang Si Waterfall.

Stunning views only ruined by the loud kareoke boats on the river. A free drink and snacks of banana chips included. I think it is best to sit on the bottom at the front of the boat, as less people blocking the view.

It's a good trip that let you have a breif understanding of what Laos and Luang Prabang can offer. The Kuangsi waterfall is particularly beautiful

Had a lovely time on a New Years Eve sunset cruise. Price included pick-up from hotel, free drink on arrival and a snack. *Feedback to Klook* I'm not 100% the cruise we booked was the cruise we went on, but having said that, our cruise was excellent! Could be a 'lost during interpretation' but we definitely thought we were booking a different cruise and after booking, the name of the cruise was not visible, leaving us a little confused. Could be to do with the coding of the booking system?

Very enjoyable sunset cruise on the Mekong. A big plus is that there was no loud karaoke like on many other boats – it made the atmosphere calm, relaxing, and genuinely scenic. From what I understand, the boat runs on solar energy, which is a nice sustainable touch. The views at sunset are beautiful, and the experience feels well-paced and not rushed. There was also an interesting show at the end, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, I highly recommend choosing this specific cruise over other options on the river.

my guide who's name I unfortunately can't remember but have got a photo of in this review was absolutely stunning!! a little shy at first but super friendly and very knowledgeable about all the stops we went to. The day didn't feel rushed at all and was a lovely pace. Great activity to get to know the area.

This was an incredible activity that you could do locally along with the community. I was picked up on time, and Alex, my tour guide, had been very welcoming, friendly, and making sure I had a wonderful time. This was humbling experience for me to say the least. After the ceremony, we went to see the market but it was raining so had to find shelter and went for coffee. This was the real bonus for me having such a tour guide with recommendations where to find places where I could have authentic experience. Thank you.
