Our stay was perfect. The room was big enough for our family of four, bed were very comfortable and the room was very clean and tidy. What’s an added bonus is the best breakfast you will ever have! Award winning marmalades, served with HOMEMADE bread and all of the ingredients of the cooked breakfast’s are local and high quality. I highly recommend having the French toast or the Cumbrian breakfast, my son would highly recommend the kids French breakfast which is chocolate dipping bowl and fresh croissants. The owners are amazing! Highly knowledgeable of the area (definitely listen to their advice as they know all the best places) and they are very friendly and welcoming of families. The room was clean and specious. Staff was very nice and food was exceptional ! I would absolutely recommend this property.

The 3 course meal was al a carte status, excellent made by chef/ owner. Lovely bedrooms and v clean and owners very welcoming. Lovely views and walks nearby. For children the wildlife park is worth a visit nearby.

A gem of a place. Breakfast was delicious and food cooked to order. Added bonus is the owner is a chef. You have the opportunity to a delicious evening meal cooked without the need to drive somewhere.

We had a lovely stay at Woodlands Country House. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was a great base to explore the wonderful Lake District and surrounds. Daryl and Naomi are great hosts. Daryl's food is amazing. We shall miss his great breakfasts. We were very sad to leave Woodlands. Would definitely stay there again.

After an incredible restful night's sleep, we woke to the owner/chef delivering a breakfast truly beyond our wildest expectations. Darryl's mastery in the kitchen was evident in every detail.
