The hotel is modern and feels very inviting and fresh. The room itself is also contemporary, with plenty of charging points, modern lighting, and overall cleanliness. There were a few signs of wear and tear, which is to be expected.
However, the air conditioning does not work until the outside temperature reaches a certain level (an Ibis policy). The hotel is well insulated, which unfortunately made the room temperature quite uncomfortable, even with the window open. The thick bedding didn’t help either.
I also reported that the bed was squeaky and had a wobbly leg, but this was not fixed during the four days of our stay.
The breakfast was a small continental-style setup, with low-quality coffee and juices. In hindsight, we regret paying for it, as there are much better and more affordable cafes nearby.
The gym is functional but very small, so it’s not suitable for a full workout.
Overall, while the hotel is modern, I wouldn’t stay again after experiencing other options in Baku, where better-priced rooms with more facilities are available.
