Great location, charming place at first, but we woke up with bites on our arms after the 2nd night. Management blew us off. Progressively got worse. We checked the beds for signs of bed bugs upon checkin and after the bites but didn't see anything indicating bedbugs. On the last morning, we found 2 live bugs in each bed. We notified Management we found live bugs, they brushed it off saying they had an inspection in January showing they were free of bed bugs. Our stay was in JUNE. Also, the shower was like a torture chamber with the shower head spaying95% of the tiny shower, nowhere to escape the stream and lather up. Stay here if you like to be water boarded and chewed up by bugs.

Don’t expect the ritz for the price. If it’s just a head down you’re after and you’re not too snobby then it’s perfect.

Had a great one night stay. The hotel is in a great location close to Paddington station. We were on the third floor and as there is no lift it wouldn't be suitable for everyone. We were very grateful for the large fan as it was exceptional hot in London on the night we stayed. The room was clean and benefited from a new bathroom. Recommended and we would definately stay again.

While this property and stay were pleasurable, the heatwave in London really affected my experience here. Unfortunately, my stay was during a very hot period in London, and as there is no air conditioning in the hotel, the room was uncomfortably hot for the duration. A fan was provided; however, this just seemed to move the hot air around and didn't actually help with cooling the room. When I arrived, the two windows were open, so the room was fresh but very warm. As I was on the ground floor, I closed the windows and turned on the fan. After an evening out, I returned to what could only be described as a furnace! It was uncomfortably hot and my sleep was very poor on both nights. While the property reflected the price, I was a little disappointed by the condition of the room - very dated, peeled paint in the shower, unclear grout in the shower base. Luckily, as my trip was a business trip, I was able to stay away from the property. While my feedback is highly influenced by the heat of the room, during a regular, non-heatwave time, this would be ideal for a low-budget stay in London, where little time at the property was required.

Cheap clean great position,

The location is good. The assistance with the luggage was initially good with our check-in and room transfer however on departing 4 seniors had to lug the luggage down 3 flights though we we informed the reception desk of the needed assistance. This was not acceptable, as it was known and requested @ time of checkin. Unless your young and/or substantially fit to carry luggage up and down stairs this hotel is not for you. Dont have high expectations.

There definitely needs to be some updates. The towel rack and toilet paper rack were practically dangling. It was also odd that other traveler’s luggage was being stored in our room.

The tariff is excellent. Location is great, not far from Paddington railway station. Staff are kind and helpful. There are no lifts in the facility. There were many stairs to my room. The room was a little small, but adequate. No air conditioning.

I knew this was not a five star hotel and I just needed it for one night. The clerk checked us in and held our luggage until 3 PM and helped us carry it up the stairs, which we really appreciate appreciated. Location was great for coming off of Paddington station. The pillows and bed were excellent.
