Thecrom was clean. It was close to the airport so I didn't have to worry about Sydney traffic.

My recent trip included a 17-hour layover in Sydney, but because I was unaware that Sydney International Airport closes between 11:00pm-3:00am, I needed to find cheap overnight accommodation. Even though I booked the Silkari because of its location and price, staff were friendly, the room was clean and well stocked with an extremely comfortable bed, and a continental breakfast was included. An airport transfer shuttle was also offered for just $13.00 which I found amazing, and although I had no vehicle, there was plenty of parking within close proximity to hotel rooms. I highly recommend Silkari Urban CKS Sydney Airport Hotel for anyone needing inexpensive accommodation because despite unforeseen circumstances, my stay was relaxing, enjoyable and convenient. I have no doubt that I would stay again.

The room was tired and plug fixtures were broken and the air conditioner was aged and tired. There was a fire alarm st 10:30 and no one appeared to direct us! Or contact us. That was NOT GOOD!

Great place to stay Staff/breakfast fantastic

I wanted a hotel by the Sydney Airport. I thought 4/5 was a good enough rating to stay one night before flying out. I was so wrong. We checked in and headed to our room. Such a sterile hallway that seemed almost like a jail. Worse, the hallway reeked of Marijuana. Room smelled overly perfumed and I thought….well at least it’s clean and this perfume is the cleaning product. But the carpet which was a weird memory foam looked like it had never been cleaned. The space of the room wasn’t terrible. It was the carpet and the bathroom that led us to feeling like we didn’t want to walk with bare feet. The toilet dripped all night. We were lucky our daughter out on her rain noise machine because it drowned it out. The real horror show was the shower. The shower curtain was black and when my daughter got in to take a shower before bed it was crusty and stuck in clumps to the shower. When she pulled to close it thinking it was just magnetized to the tub, it stuck. There were chunks on the shower curtain and white stains. Beyond disgusting. When I showered the next morning thank goodness it was a rain shower head because I didn’t close the shower curtain. Honestly, such a sad icky ending to an amazing trip.

Hotel was built in 1975 and is well maintained but some rooms have ridiculous small bathrooms but bedrooms are fine. Some beds are soft so ask to see your room before proceeding with payment because they do not refund unless you are lucky to cancel 24 hours before you arrive at reception. Reception staff can be a nightmare being rude with hidden fees you have to pay before they can give you a room key card. Some rooms come with bugs and some bed bugs because they don’t clean up properly. This place is old and little maintenance going forward. There are broken curbside edges at the entrance so be careful not to trip over them and fall down and ruin your vacation. It’s also very dangerous neighborhood with no security no cameras no lights. Stay away from this hotel.

Staff were excellent, kind, helpful, understanding, compassionate. Air conditioner in the wall was extremely noisy, dirty and semi-broken. Power points and lamps were too far away from the bed, and power points very hard to access for my CPAP machine as they were underneath tables and I had to get down on the floor to reach them. Plug in the bathroom basin was dirty underneath. I was dropped off by Sydney Shuttle Service which was disgusting.. Waited an hour at the airport to be picked up by them. Driver was a "lunatic" on the roads, seat belts didn't work, no respect for passengers' safety. Dropped me off last which meant by then I was 2 hours late for my checkin at Silkari. I didn't have any breakfast but the staff allowed me to use the microwave to heat up my quiche for dinner at 8.30pm which I'd bought at Woolworths nearby. They also helped me with my cruise labels / tags ready for when I arrived at the cruise ship checkin. Thank you.

Great location for airport . Safe parking , supermarket close by Room was comfortable . Great shower , comfy mattress
