From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make my son’s stay unforgettable as he celebrated both his high school graduation and his acceptance as a Junior Forest Ranger.
You could tell that so much thought, care, and time went into the gifts and surprises they prepared for him in our upgraded river view room. They created a beautiful, personalized “Congratulations Ranger” poster signed by staff, along with a water bottle, keychain, fruit, nuts, granola bars, bottled water, and even a complimentary “Forest Ranger’s Breakfast for Two.” The breakfast cards were printed with a special forest ranger theme and attached to pine tree branches — such a creative and meaningful touch!
My son was genuinely surprised and beyond grateful. These weren’t just gifts; they were thoughtful gestures that made him feel seen, celebrated, and proud of his accomplishments.
I want to sincerely thank every staff member who helped make this happen.
It may be a bit trickier to get to, but it is 100% worth it. The hotel is beautiful and historic, the breakfast was delicious, the view from the garden is exceptional, but the people here are what make this place truly special.
