The hotel is nice with very helpful staff. Street outside is a bit dodgy.

This was very good value for money, with an excellent buffet breakfast included in the price. The hotel is conveniently located close to the railway station and many amenities - shops, restaurants, public transport etc. The hotel is quite old-fashioned (we loved having a key to the door instead of the now common card system). The room itself was reasonably spacious and comfortable. It was hot outside so we had to open the windows at night to let in some breeze, but this meant we also let in the noise from the street below in a city that never sleeps. We ended up shutting out the noise by closing the windows at 2 a.m.

My room was very small with wore down nasty thread bare carpet and too much furniture for the space. The bed height was extremely low and uncomfortably. Hotel Hamburg is located in a very questionable area with a lot of seedy people. Location to Central Train station, the continental breakfast and working heat best thing I can say about Hotel Hamburg! Don’t be out on the streets after dark.

I am a female 23 years old and I was traveling with two of my friends. This place is absolutely awful to stay. The area around it is terrifying, especially for young women. I read the reviews on this hotel and they did not describe it accurately. My friends and I checked in, went into the room, (smelled like mildew and wet towel) and immediatelyd booked a new hotel. We made the choice to lose our money and go to the new hotel because it was not worth our safety. I did not get a refund but I didn’t expect to because when I booked, it said non refundable. Do not stay here if you are a women or a solo traveler. The man at the front desk was very rude and off putting, and I didn’t feel safe staying there.

Was above a sex shop in a very scary area. Never went in, left immediately and got a better hotel on the other side of town.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The lack of plug sockets was a challenge for a family of 5 and all the devices we need to keep charged, but we managed ok.

The beds are comfortable and that’s about the only real positive. Dated tired and cramped spaces. Staff helpful though and the breakfast was ok.
