We loved the fact that they provided Netflix! So much more useful than the cable channels provided by most hotels.
We loved the view from our bed!!!
We had a view of the sunset and the beach and the sea. It was spectacular.
We loved that the music wasn’t obnoxious. We didn’t want a party atmosphere.
We loved the pool having saltwater instead of chlorine but it had alot of dead bees in it which sort of freaked me out. The staff worry about cleaning the fallen petals on the street outside the hotel (which doesn’t bother anyone) while not cleaning the pool. I don’t understand that logic.
I loved the bed. It felt like firm latex. It was very comfortable. I didn’t feel my husband moving next to me which is amazing.
The curtains are not blackout curtains though so the light from the pool and common area did disturb us. I put a shirt over my eyes so I could sleep.

This place probably has the best view in town. The staff was amazing, and Yuli, the owner, was right there alongside them making sure my stay was unforgettable.
If you’re renting a car, I’d suggest parking near the Reggae Island Bar, which is about a beautiful 20-minute walk to the hotel with incredible views and plenty of spots along the way to grab water, beer, or snacks. You can also take a tuk tuk, which is super cheap and only about 5 minutes to the hotel.
Highly recommend this place!

The room been a little smelly, shower pressure was bad and need replacement same as door for the room because i had hard time to close it from the inside. Lots of dead insects swimming in the pool and nobody to clean it, also the water was salty so probably pumped from the sea, so we didn't really used it. The view was Great the area peaceful, staff tried best but a lot need to be done to make the resort up to standards.

Run down room, moldy smell everytime you enter the room. Thou we liked the staff especially Jima, she is really nice and helpful. The road going to this resort is really rough, narrow and not paved. The town itself Definitely need a lot of improve with their rough unpaved roads.

Gut The good and the bad:
Good: The staff are the best feature of this property. They're really fantastic people who are helpful, friendly and kind. Someone is always available to assist whether it's 9am or 3am. The food is fantastic - we have stayed at multiple resorts in Philippines over a three week period and the breakfast we had at Reef Strand was better than all of them. The view was incredible. The resort always has a tricycle available to take you to the town square when needed, which is helpful because it's about a 15-20min walk.
Bad: The resort does need extensive upgrades and maintenance. My room (201) smells like sewage. I mentioned this to the

I had an amazing stay at the El Nido Reef Strand Resort — truly a 10/10 experience.
The view alone is breathtaking. Waking up and enjoying meals while overlooking the beach and nearby islands was unforgettable. The property feels very private and peaceful, which made it the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Getting there can be a bit of a challenge since the road is quite bumpy, but once you arrive, it’s absolutely worth it. The hotel also makes things easy by offering a convenient shuttle service to town and the airport.
The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The German owner may seem a bit reserved at first, but once you start a conversation, he’s genuinely warm and accommodating.
Overall, I would definitely stay here again. If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic getaway with stunning views, this place is a gem.
