- Welcome to Family Day at Tai Kwun Contemporary! For this event, presented by Tai Kwun Contemporary in collaboration with MUDWORK and Rooftop Institute in partnership with Wendy Tai, Pipilotti Rist’s artwork is the inspiration for a series of activities created by artists. Parents and children are encouraged to explore the body and moving images with activities that invigorate our senses and let us experience the world in a different way. This artist-led programme invites any child aged five or older and accompanied by a parent/guardian to participate.

About the Workshops:
Cloud-Shaped Stool Workshop
- Collaborating artist: MUDWORK
- Clouds often appear in children’s drawings, just as their amorphous forms can be easily imagined as different objects. MUDWORK invites parents and children to explore their close relationship and their bodies’ boundaries by drawing each other as clouds, and then turning their artwork into unique wooden stools. Workshop details:

Rhapsody of Light
- Collaborating partner and artist: Rooftop Institute and Wendy Tai
- What does the magic of our world look like through children’s eyes? How can parents avoid being judgmental and offering too much guidance so that they can explore imagination with their children? Artist Wendy Tai has designed a workshop to observe and discuss how Pipilotti Rist uses light and colour in her work to express diverse subject matter. She also invites parents and children to reconnect their senses with their surroundings by creating cycle wheels. Workshop details:

Entry arrangements:
- Parents are responsible for making sure their children follow gallery rules
- Please do not touch the exhibits
- No food or drinks are allowed inside the gallery
- No selfie sticks or tripods
- Visitor can store oversized luggage in the cloakroom during gallery opening hours
- Please place umbrellas at the umbrella rack by the gallery main entrance or store them in the cloakroom

Ein Führer wird zuerst die Exponate vorstellen und dann mit der kreativen Inspiration von Huipipi Ledi Rist Ihren eigenen kleinen Holzhocker herstellen. Es ist sehr interessant. Sowohl Erwachsene als auch Kinder haben eine gute Zeit 😃
Der Tai Kwun Family Day war schon immer bei Eltern und Kindern beliebt. Die Workshops sind abwechslungsreich und die Kinder interagieren miteinander.
Es war ein lustiger Tai Kwun Family Day. Freunde jeden Alters konnten gemeinsam eine Holzarbeit fertigstellen. Die Kinder waren so begeistert, dass sie Elektrowerkzeuge benutzen konnten. Der Lehrer erklärte auch sehr anschaulich die Methode und den Ablauf.
So ein schöner Licht- und Schatteneffekt, voller Fantasie, den die Kinder so gerne verlassen.
Sehr gute Eltern-Kind-Aktivitäten, praktische Fähigkeiten der Kinder trainieren. 👍🏻👍🏻 Hoffentlich mehr halten.
Der Workshop wird von einer speziellen Person zur Erklärung geleitet, damit wir die Bedeutung der Exponate selbst besser verstehen können und die Kinder ihre Kreativität frei entfalten können, um ihre Werke zu vervollständigen!

Ich mag diese Aktivität sehr. Sie gibt Kindern und Eltern die Möglichkeit, die Werke gemeinsam zu schätzen. Das Personal ist sehr nett.
Es war eine sehr interessante Ausstellung. Wir haben es sehr genossen. Die Gästeführer führten die Kinder dazu, die Exponate mit den Sinnen zu erkunden. Sehr gut und interessant.
Der Workshop "Licht- und Schattenfantasien" ist sorgfältig konzipiert und eignet sich für Schüler der Grund- und Mittelschule.
