We visited Punchy Palate Gastropub using a Klook voucher for the Ultimate Tapuey Experience, which included the Cordilleran Tapas Board and their signature tapuey rice wine. We were pleasantly surprised to learn we were the first guests to redeem this promo, making the visit even more memorable. The food was genuinely enjoyable, with the skewers, e'tag, and kiniing crostini bites standing out for their rich flavors. The biggest surprise, though, was the tapuey rice wine. Smooth, aromatic, and unlike anything we'd tried before, it elevated the whole experience. The staff were warm, attentive, and always smiling, providing hospitality that made us feel truly welcome. The restaurant has a relaxed, quiet atmosphere that's perfect for an intimate meal, is fairly easy to locate, and offers fair value for the quality. We'd gladly recommend Punchy Palate Gastropub and would happily return given the chance.

For non-Cordillerans, it can be confusing to tell the difference between dishes and ingredients like watwat, pinikpikan, kiniing, etag, and other local terms. That’s why trying the Tapaz Board was such a great experience. it not only lets you taste these unique Cordilleran flavors but also helps you understand the rich culture and traditions behind them. What impressed me the most was how beautifully the flavors were combined. Everything complemented each other so well, creating a dining experience that was both unique and unforgettable. You’ll be surprised by some of the flavor pairings because they’re combinations you’d never expect to work, but they absolutely do!
The wines were fantastic! We had the chance to try their Red tapuey, White tapuey, and Strawberry craft wine, and each one had its own unique character. My personal favorite was the Strawberry Craft Wine, smooth, fruity, and incredibly enjoyable. If you’re visiting Baguio, this is definitely an experience you shouldn’t miss. It’s a wonderful way to discover the rich flavors and traditions of the Cordillera. Cheers! 🍷
The ice cream flavors were absolutely amazing! We were pleasantly surprised by how unique and delicious each one was. We got to try the Kalabasa, Calamansi, and Passion Fruit flavors, and every scoop was bursting with flavor. You can really tell that each recipe was thoughtfully crafted and inspired by local ingredients. Such a unique experience. I’ll definitely be coming back to try the rest of their flavors!
Interesting & great experience for rice wine tasting. Variety of flavors added to the intensity of the experience.
Good taste. very nice fusion of Cordilleran food.
