Synopsis
“A somewhat uncomfortable, yet special convenience store – Ultimately, it’s our story.”
Dokgo, a man who has been homeless at Seoul Station, begins working the night shift at “Always,” a convenience store in Cheongpa-dong owned by Yeom Young-sook, after he helps her find her lost wallet. Though he suffers from alcohol-induced dementia and has no memory of his past, he becomes increasingly skilled at his job and gains the respect of others.
The store is filled with a unique set of characters: •Yeom Young-sook, the store owner, •Shihyun, a 20-something part-timer who is preparing for the job market, •Oh Seonsook, a middle-aged woman working part-time to make ends meet, •Kyeongman, an office worker who relieves stress with the “Cham Cham Cham” set, •Inkyoung, a playwright.
Each of these individuals carries their own life burdens and looks at Dokgo through their own perspectives…
