  • Child tickets, disability tickets, and senior tickets are limited to passengers holding Taiwan R.O.C. identification cards.
  • Information Regarding Concession Tickets (Child, Senior, and Disability):
  • Please keep your concessionary identification documents safe. Taiwan High Speed Rail reserves the right to verify and review these documents. If the identity of the passenger does not match the concessionary ticket, the passenger will be required to pay the difference between the full fare and the concessionary fare, plus an additional 50% of the fare difference.
  • Child Ticket Purchase Information:
  • Children under 12 years of age may purchase child tickets. Children under 115 cm in height who do not occupy a seat may travel free of charge, but must be accompanied by a passenger who has purchased a full-fare ticket or an adult. Each passenger may only bring a maximum of two children traveling free of charge. Children over 150 cm in height and under 12 years of age, or children over 115 cm in height and under 6 years of age, must present proof of identification.
  • Senior Ticket Purchase Instructions:
  • Republic of China (Taiwan) nationals and foreign nationals aged 65 (inclusive) or over are eligible to purchase concession tickets upon presentation of valid identification.
  • Discount Ticket Purchase Information:
  • Republic of China (Taiwan) citizens holding a Disability Identification Handbook, and one necessary accompanying companion, may purchase concession tickets. This system does not currently offer reservations for accessible seating. If passengers require accessible seating, please call the Taiwan High Speed Rail customer service hotline: 4066-3000 (Miaoli, Taitung, Kinmen, and Matsu areas and mobile phones, please dial 02-4066-3000. All of the above are toll calls, charged at the standard rate for general city calls and mobile phone rates) or go to any station ticket window to purchase tickets.
