Under gennemsnittet Room clean and staff were very helpful but the stairs to my room on the top floor was hard and the public bath was too small. I picked this place for the shuttle and the public bath /onsen but was disappointed, return shuttle did not run at 8:30 am so had to ask for a taxi back to the station to meet a friend coming from Tokyo to play golf.

Wonderful location with outstanding views, within walking distance of the train station. I wish I knew more Japanese prior to booking, as the staff seemed uncomfortable with us not knowing more of the language. (I tried!) The room was incredibly spacious and beds were obscenely comfortable. Overall, would book this property again--once I know more Japanese. My thanks to the staff who truly tried to bridge our language gap. If you're fluent in Japanese, you'll have a terrific stay!

Nice location on the hill with views of the ocean and mountains. Nice onsen on the roof with a nice deck as well for relaxing. No elevator which was fine for us but might be an issue if you have mobility issues. Staff very friendly and accomdating.

I really loved the roof terrace at the hotel with the swinging seats and Onsen baths. Great views and with some welcome shade later in the afternoon.
The walk from the station to the hotel is relatively short (though a little steep in places).
Inside the hotel there is no lift and we were on the 5th floor (in the annex section). We actually quite liked the ‘challenge’ of the hill and stairs, however they would be a challenge for someone with reduced mobility.
Hotel was very clean and staff very friendly - and overall we enjoyed our stay

2.) Duplicated charge with credit card and the app! I have to check my bank account myself! They don’t provide any compansate as they confess it is their fault!
3.) Said I am only able to pay with cash for the last night, but they asked me to paid with credit card for the first two nights (the first order on the Hotels.com App)!
4.) No integrity! No matter I did late check out for my last day, but I acknowledge to the lobby front desk before it and the male staff said i won’t have any extra charge within an hour delay. But the woman manager (Yuri) of male staff suddenly go to my room disturbing me to pack up my luggage for 10 minutes at least! Keep on repeating that I’m late for check out and ignored my explanation with an inpatient attitude. I tried to use google translate to Japanese already!
The staff consent to keep my luggage for 2hrs after checked out, but they just place my luggage at the public area in the middle of the lobby without any security measure and anybody to look after it.

Under gennemsnittet 1.) Poor service with room cleaning. They only help me to tidy my room on the first night but ignore at the second night. 2.) Extended my room without my confirmation as I said I will use the Hotels.com App to book another night. 3.) Duplicate Charge with my Credit Card! 4.) Poor Language and service skill set. If the staff doesn't know English, please speak out directly but not keeping on nodding head and say yes! 5.) The environment is bad, the path to the hotels at night time after sunset is too dark and silent! I would like to pay more for another better hotel, but not this one!

A unique place in a great location. A good break from the city life. Close to Odawara which allows the trip to kawaguchiko and Hakone Fuji area

Good location, clean rooms. Highly recommended. However, they do not seem to have an elevator, which can be inconvenient for some.
