This hotel on this island makes you feel as if you're a special guest. You first take off your shoes and they put them away as you wear the slippers they provide for you. The hotel room is structured in a way that resembles traditional Japanese house. The hotel provides dinner and breakfast, which they will accommodate if you have any allergies. The lobby feels very cozy and has small activities you and your family can enjoy.

The dinner was the best we've had in Japan. The staff were amazing, all spoke English and were friendlyand helpful, we only stayed one night and wish we stayed longer.

Miyajima Seaside Hotel provides a very unique traditional Japanese lodging experience. It is a great resort to relax while on Miyajima Island.

Very traditional Ryokan experience, with the Tatami floors and Kaiseki meals. Staff is very attentive. This is not a traditional "luxury resort" (don't expect service and standards of a four seasons or ritz carlton hotel). Rooms felt a bit antiquated, but I think this added to the charm of the hotel as it positions itself as a place to have a more traditional Japanese experience. It is about a 10-minute drive from the main town on the island, so it is a bit out of the way. If you want to be close to the action / shrines on the island, this probably isn't the hotel for you. If you want something super quiet and private, this is a good fit.

Everything was just perfect in the Hotel. It has great Japanese dinner and breakfast. Shuttle bus has great schedule, so you can see Torii Gate after sunset. It was like you really were a guest of the Japanese family.

Lovely hotel, albeit quite dated. The kaiseki dinner was delicious and so was breakfast. The shuttle was very convenient and all the staff were lovely.

Ophold alene

Shuttle for bags during the day and a shuttle to get you to the hotel later that day was excellent. Room was beautiful and peaceful. Food was fantastic as were all of the staff!
